Doji,

I know what you mean. I was stationed at Keesler AFB in Biloxi for my technical training when I was in the Air Force. I absolutely loved it there. The houses along the coast were simply stunning and beautiful.

I talked to a friend of mine who lives in that area at the time the insurance companies were investigating all of the claims. Sadly, it seems that most of those homeowners were royally screwed over by their insurance companies.

They said that the damage didn't come from the hurricane (which people had insurance for) but rather flooding and high winds (which many didn't have insurance for)!!! So, those beautiful historical and classy homes will probably never be rebuilt.

I find that to be so horribly wrong on so many levels. Granted, most of the people who owned those homes could probably afford the loss but it's just a horrible representation of how askewed people's priorities can get when you attach a $$$ sign in front of things.

I used to work for an insurance company, and this does not surprise me.

Hi, mams! Good to see ya!
Hi, kaykay! It seems every time I get a chance to get on here, everyone changes their outfits. It just makes me chuckle.

So, how've you been? Anything interesting happening?

PS - you need an avatar :)

Well, dh is done with his online class. So I have to hop off...

Goodnight all!
Oh, by the way...
We had a "tornado scare " where I work today. I was to level of getting "concerned" and such things don't bother me much so I was pretty serious! We would have had to get in the vault at the bank. But it went over us. Praise God!
