Take some corn kernels and put them on a baking sheet. Sprinkle cayenne pepper on them and bake.

They're a terrific snack.

If you like licorice, try some fennel, instead. It tastes just like licorice and it's very good for you, especially for women because it contains phytoestrogens.

It's commonly given to chemotherapy patients to help rebuild their digestive systems and can help to combat everything from asthma to irritable bowel syndrome.

Something else you might want to consider is, when you make french fries at home, consider using sweet potatoes. Not only are they much better for you, they also taste great and add a little variety.

You can also make fries and different slaws and relishes out of the stalk and root of the yucca plant. That's also something that's great for women because it helps to prevent osteoperosis.

hmm well you can get soy crisps which don't have a whole lot of flavour but they're good if you just need to munch on something.

personally i love making some fruit salad if i need to have a snack. but then i'm addicted to oranges. i'm not sure what your diet is if you're vegan or not but if you allow for it, yogurt also makes for a healthy snack. thats one thing i miss since i gave up dairy :p

these are some of what i eat on a regular basis to stay healthy (or try to, at least)..

natural yoghurt
a serve of homemade bircher muesli (very yum)
multigrain crackers with hommus or tzatziki spread (which are healthy and low in fat and calories)
corn on the cob
tuna on plain crackers (healthy, and filling too)
Nuts! for e.g, almonds, walnuts, peanuts etc.. (but eat them in small amounts as they are calories dense- unless you're intending to put on weight).

My last post.

I thought you said "healthy foods" not "healthy snacks". Maybe cutting up beets, fish baked in bread crumbs, and hard-boiled eggs and putting them on toothpicks (not necessarily all three together) would make a healthy/edible snack? Anyone know any healthy dips you could use?
