Have you have a "Brush With Greatness"?

Personally I haven't met anyone famous. I work with Jermaine Petty who played on GB Packers defense until an injury forced him out. He was pretty good I think, but not many defensive players are well known.

I have to rely on family's "brushes with greatness" since I don't have any of my own. lol my aunt was a standin on the movie "The Guardian" and met Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher. I think it was the graduation scene that she was in.

This weekend I met a local columnist. I've never met any big-name celebrities (e.g. Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore, Barack Obama, etc), but rather local Djs, and the like.

I have met Ann Richards, Dan Rather (that was a waste of time), Clint Black (not fair since I went to school with him), Renee Zelweiger (ok I cheared with her), Emmit Smith, Troy Ackman (fainted almost with him), George Bush (Daddy Bush and CRIED when I met him), W, Georg Foreman (the DUDE is HUGE), Lance berkman (go to church with him), Craig Biggio, Yao Ming, Sandra Bullock, Dennis Quiad, and...I think that is it. OH WAIT...Caedman's Call, Wayne Watson, Jars of Clay, Watermark, Avalon, and now I think that is it.

One good thing about down here is that for some reasons Texans are so not caring. When the Super Bowl was here it wasn't that Natives running after the Celebs. I see a lot of them in Austin and here in Houston.

Oh, and I have conversed with Mitch Hedberg's widow (Lynn Shawcroft) over Myspace (I told her that Hot Topic was selling a t-shirt with a Mitch quote on it and not crediting him, and she thanked me for telling her )

I love Anthony Bourdain!

I've met quite a few bands. I ate pizza with the guys from Becoming the Archetype once (Christian metal band). Most of the people I've met were from smaller bands though. I haven't really met anyone too famous.
