The US has about a little over 300 million
But if you add Mexico and Canada
Just if....US would have nearly 400 million living!
Actually that sounds like a good thing-- the more Americans there are, the bigger our place in the world (and don't forget how huge Canada is, and how much natural beauty it has)!!

This site says, "There is no new, proposed, "NAFTA Superhighway". I don't know who's right, just that there is more than one side to this story.
Well who sponsors this site? It's not a government publication.... I could write a document like that, get a url, and post it and claim it to be true.... but there are definitely new super highways being built into Mexico all the time, even if none of them is officially called the "NAFTA Superhighway"....

Also, remember that the vast majority of illegals in the US are not people who snuck across the border illegally, but people who crossed into the US legally but became illegal when they overstayed their visa!!

This is all part of the globalists' agenda and neither the Democrats or the Republicans will save you from it.
Ah, conspiracy or mere market forces, that's the ancient question on all such things!!

Yes, absolutely. But, if you look at most (if not all) of the websites that are talking about the NAFTA Superhighway, they are of the sort you describe.

I absolutely don't know the truth about this issue. All I know is that the people who should be upset about it, and talking about it, aren't. By that I mean elected officials and the mainstream media on both sides.

They can try but they won't succeed.
Who won't succeed? The Democrats and Republicans? Or the globalists? Truth be told, the politicians are all becoming globalists now, as there's money to the pocket for them coming out of it.... more so to the Republicans than to the Dems, but that's just a matter of who is (or was) in power, and what the sources are....

I'm getting the news out so we won't end up like the european union having no religious freedom!

What?! I'm sorry to say this, but it's uninformed Americans who think they are the only "free" nation on the planet that get me the wrong way (see http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=410198&pp=15)... and I've had contact with many in my work and stays over there... I'm not making a stereotype, but saying that uninformed people in general should really get their facts straight and look at what's happening around them in their own country too before coming out with blanket statments like the above.

First, do you know that the EU is not just Germany?

Second, there isn't just one federal law for the whole EU. Each member country has it's own laws too! Much like individual states. I don't know about Germany, but I do know about the UK.

In the UK we have religious freedom - it's not like the old days when the founding fathers left ya know! My niece is not a Christian, nor is my sister's family a Christian family... yet my niece learns about the Bible at school, what sin is etc etc. I'm quite amazed at times at things she says that she's learned at school. The only things I hear from the US are things Christian coming out of schools. And when I was there last Christmas, there was soooo much about stores etc not wanting to use the words Happy Christmas... but Happy Holidays, or schools calling their plays "Winterfest" or something but having nothing of the nativity in them.

And in the UK I know of several home schoolers.

So don't lump in every country in the EU as being the EU and all having the same standards etc, or make the US out as being all rosey!

Apart from that, no offence meant

As to the merger, I hope it doesn't happen either, but with the way the world is going, the continuing weak dollar (and http://www.amerocurrency.com/index.html) and the plans of world government, it possibly won't be so long :(

I don't think the idea of world government is plausible. It's necessary to judge each case individually rather that saying globalization is good or bad.

In my particular job, I had practically no work to do during the Thanksgiving in the U.S. This is because 90 percent of my work is linked to the United States. So I can see enormous opportunities to redeploy capital if there were no border between the U.S. and Canada. The funds could be used elsewhere such as in infrastructure. In fact I sometimes dream that a unified Canada-U.S. might put a big border around Quebec, a part of Canada that is constantly threatening to break away. Let's see how long their economy lasts if traffic had to pass through a bunch of border patrol officers. They can talk French amongst themselves threatening to break apart their province.

To what end? As the boundaries between nations become less meaningful, so do internal disputes over territory.... when all of Europe is under one flag, what will it matter whether a piece of land is called Irish or English? When all of North America is under one flag, what will it matter whether Quebec is part of Canada, anymore than it matters whether some midwestern plain is part of Kansas or Nebraska?

I heard that any law of one country in EU can be enforced in any EU country.

I think A European union is good, but not this one.

I don't think the idea of world government is plausible.
It's on the agenda of the globalist elite and United Nations.

Maybe, in God's view, government is supposed to be non-sectarian.

Maybe, in God's view, government is supposed to handle the earthly end of things.

I do believe that government should ensure freedom of religious practice for members of every religion, as well as for those who practice no religion.

But when I read articles such as this, I always get the feeling that what the writer really wants is the establishment of a state religion--his!
Indeed -- I can not conceive of a God who would care where borders are drawn, or who is a "citizen" of what state.... I can only conceive of a God who would wish all persons to be treated fairly and adjudged equally, to have the freedom to make their own way, and to be given every hand and opportunity to achieve their value!!
