Grandmother mails fruitcakes, sues USPS.

How ridiculous.

"Hey - let's raise the cost of postage AND treat our customers like trash."

Poor woman. I wish I knew how to contact her. I LOVE fruit cake, and I'd buy some from her, and tell her to ship them UPS instead.

Sued & Lost.

Just another example over our Sue happy society.

I couldn't imagine treating someone in a rude manner... there are tactful ways of checking if it's good 'ol fruitcake or a terrorist package.

You have to rember, not even a month before she tried to mail a bunch of packages, we hand just enacted the Homeland Security Act.
So they (the post office) may of been playing off that

The act was signend November 25,2002. and she went to mail a bunch of packages not even a month later. So I'd have to guess that is was the clerks joking about the security act. The other customers (who were the ones laughing) may of been thinking the same thing.

It would be nice to know how close to the 25 of November that she tried to mail the packages.

I hate fruitcake.

For unmentioned reasons, I find this hilarious.

I wonder what the bomb squads did when they found it was only Fruitcake in the boxes.
