  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God's Provision - Favor

Numbers 11:7-9 The manna was like coriander seed and looked like resin. The people went around gathering it, and then ground it in a handmill or crushed it in a mortar. They cooked it in a pot or made it into cakes. And it tasted like something made with olive oil. When the dew settled on the camp at night, the manna also came down.

Proverbs 19:12 A king's rage is like the roar of a lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass.

Like the rain, dew was regarded in biblical times as God’s gift bringing good harvest and providing food.

As the Israelites wandered in the wilderness, we find that God supplied their needs each night as the dew fell. Dew like manna, doesn't last - as soon as the new morning breaks it evaporates. Dew like manna, came to symbolize supply and provision, the Lord's favor, new every morning.

As we follow the Lord’s leading, His dew will also rain down new supply and provision, favor, in our lives, just as it did for the children of Israel.

Lamentations 3:22-23 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
