well, i have been a member for a few days now and thought perhaps I should tell y'all more about me.

I am 24 years old, and right now I reside in Austin, Texas, where I am finishing up my Bachelors degree in Psychology at the University of Texas. *I will be done when I am done :)*
Yes, I am a toad *ribbitt* so my fav foods include like a fly sundae, or pizza with flies.
Just wanted to say hola to everyone--

alright, um I think I had a discussion about this once. but just in case to clarify...here we goWhat's the difference between a TOAD and a frog?
Frogs usually have a smooth, moist skin and spend most of their lives in or near water. TOADs usually have a dry, warty-looking skin and spend more time living on land. Note, however, that it is not uncommon, for example, to find a warty skinned frog that isn't a TOAD, or even a slimy TOAD! Frogs tend to lay eggs single eggs in masses, whereas TOADs usually lay eggs in long chains.

Scientifically, things are more complicated. Besides the true frogs (called Ranidae) and TOADs (called Bufonidae), there are separate families for "tree" frogs, "spadefoot" TOADs, "poison-arrow" frogs, and several other groups, see e.g. the tree of amphibians of how the different frog and TOAD families are grouped. The group or so-called order that contains all the frogs and TOADs is called Salientia (from a Latin word that means "leaping") or Anura ("tailless").

*LOL* I just had an idea...in awhile look in the picture forum

yes i am. Im not one of those fans (and nothing is wrong with these type of fans) who have read the series like 5 times. or like can name this and that of the book.

but one thing I do not enjoy doing is reading. it is something that is very hard for me to do. However, a couple of years ago my mom gave me Left Behind for Christmas. I read the first chapter, and then put it down. It literally sat in the back ledge of my car for nearly a year. The following year ('98) I picked it up again. Luckily it was during Christmas break, but during the break I read all the books that were out at that time (the first six). I was reading books in 2 or 3 days.
But anyway...I got real into it. And then I found otu about the movie coming out, and the website for it. Checked it out, checked out the message board and became hooked, literally. Just wont say how bad. but anyway.

Book 10, the Remnant comes out today. I think I'll wait until I finish the book I am reading now, "This Present Darkness"
