Round peg in round hole. Not too hard to figure out. Although, my cousin once had a job at a pig farm where his job was to make sure the pegs made it into the right holes so more baby pigs were born. EEeeewwww!
Those dirty pigs!

Have you and your spouse every watched one of those instructional sex videos?

Did it improve your lovelife?

Is this a code word for inappropriate content?

Definitely not.... its not that hard to figure out the instructions. Just play around and its easy to figure out.....

I'm not at all against them, but we don't use them. Before I got married I read several books about sex. I was a virgin and wasn't sure what to do, and there were several very informative books that really helped ease any nervousness I had. They gave me all the information I needed.

I have never watched a "video" but on Comcast On Demand, my husband saw some shows were available, instructional. It was interesting and we got some very good pointers, but most of the "tricks" they offered a woman were ones I just figured out.

You can get your best pointers from your partner's reactions as you explore.

I've read that a lot of women struggle with sex because the idea that "It's not that hard to figure out" may actually be the case for some...not that they don't enjoy sex, but that it's harder for women to climax.

Anyway, the problem with videos, even if they are trying to help you, is that you are watching other people have sex...which sounds a lot like inappropriate content ("hey, honey, want to go put on that instructional video...for old times sake"). I don't really think it is appropriate. Though I do think instructional books can be helpful as long as they aren't full of photographs...though hand-drawn illustrations would be okay. Does that seem like a contradiction to you? If they are not real people and it is meant for instruction, then I think it's okay.

But nothing is better then a little experimenting with your spouse!

I've found that responding to and listening to the female produces the best results.

It's a relationship that two people must develop and no video is going to make that happen because a relationship between two people is unique.
In the OT a way of referring to sex was by "knowing" someone. Those Hebrews were onto something.

Somethign I wish I had saved was a person writing about one of their sexual experiences as if it was a conversation between two people. It was freaking brilliant on several different levels.

Instructional videos are bad.
Redguard is funny.
People can figure stuff out and get creative without videos. I mean you do not need a video to learn how to enjoy eating food do you? If you are having marriage trouble, then it usually has to do with the overall relationship, and will probably not suddenly get better from laying in a certain position.
There is the book Sheet Music, that describes different positions, but I am sure that any bright person could figure out all the good ones without any manuals.

Instructional videos are basically soft inappropriate content.

I think self help books can be useful for people, as there is a fair amount of ignorance on the part of the inexperienced and uneducated. Or there should be some kind of educational seminar offered to newlyweds, if both are true virgins.

For example, I have heard some younger wives complain about how their young husbands don't seem to care about pleasing them, or know how to please them. I don't know whether these young women expect their husbands to take the lead without communication. One recalled when she tried to explain or show her husband what to do, the young man got impatient and said that it took too long. Or the attitude was, what's wrong, don't I turn you on?

I guess that's why premarital counseling can be useful in some cases, if the parent-to-child talk doesn't cut the mustard.
