I cant seem to imagine how God/Jesus are both up there always watching. What do they do up there? And who created God, how did he/she/it come to be? How can we possibly exist for ever and ever and ever and ever!! What would we do? What would be the point of it all. I just cant really tie any of these things together- Can someone give me some historical proof that Jesus really came and the bible was real?   :help:

Who created God?

Simply put, no-one did. I don't think we can understand this. But can you understand how far space goes on? If it stops somewhere, what's the other side of that? It's the same kind of thing, in that once we find out we'll understand, but until then we don't really understand how it works!

Existing for ever...

I think the Bible has an amazing sense of story going through it. There's bits in Revelation (the last book) that echo bits from Genesis (the first book). Revelation speaks of a "new heaven and new earth" (Revelation 21:1) and of God dwelling with his people (21:3). We will worship God but this won't be like church worship - it'll never get boring, there won't be endless repetition of hymns, because worship will be something we do all the time. Imagine a place where you physically could not do anything wrong, so that everything you did completely pleased God. That's how it'll be. So the point of it is that it'll be completely perfect, as the Garden of Eden was intented to be at the beginning of the Bible's account. And we won't ever want it to stop.

Jesus and the Bible...

Jesus did come: there are references to him outside the Bible, with classical historians such as Josephus mentioning him and the early Christians in their works. The Bible has been written by many authors over many centuries, yet the books they wrote were placed together to give a revelation of God. And it does this. It reveals God to you if you ask God to do reveal himself to you and you read it. I would suggest not trying to form any opinions about the Bible to start with but simply opening it up and reading it and asking God to reveal himself to you through it.

God is always watching , yes. God is existent in and of Himself. He doesnt need a creator. We can't imagine that very easily because we have all been created.God does not exist in time , but we do. I understand why you are puzzled , many are by these questions.

There are many documents that talk of Jesus , I dont have any on hand though.....

Hi there!

Can someone give me some historical proof that Jesus really came and the bible was real?
There is very little written outside the Bible concerning Jesus Christ... but some...

There is a lot of archaeological supports and historical writings that witness the Bible.

There is the ossuary box of Caiaphas, the high priest in Jerusalem, and the weight found at Burnt House in Jerusalem with the family name of Ciaiaphs inscribed upon it... the inscription at Caesarea Maritima about Pontius Pilate, the inscription at the synagogue in Capernaum about the son of Zebadee, the 131 inscriptions at Peter's house in Capernaum, the inscriptions at Nazareth, the inscriptions at Absolom's tomb in Jerusalem .... and so on..

There is verification of people in the Bible.. of David, Solomon, Abraham, of course of Isaac and Ismael (qu'ran), and of specfic people, Ashpenaz in the book of Daniel for example.

There are no archaeological evidences that go against the Bible.

Moving on to manuscripts... go to...

http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/7547/ntmss.html

There are thousands of manuscripts that all witness each other by familes, and there is the recovery of the Dea Sea Scrolls which evidence that the Old Testament had not been changed in 2000 years.

I can't make you "believe"... that has to come from your faith.. but I can say that there's nothing that disproves the Bible...
