Way off topic: what else are you into?

I would guess based on the frequency of posts submitted here by some people that crevo stuff is probably an area of prime interest for many. I know some of the people here work directly in related fields, and others seem to spend a large amount of personal time reading/studying the subject.

But to be totally off-topic (is that allowed?), I thought I'd just throw this question out there:

Besides evolution/creationism related stuff, what are you "into?" Ie any other subcultural stuff, frequent other forums or invest time studying other subjects heavily.

As to myself, I've actually (classically) had a lot more dialogue in regards to exercise related matters (particularly hypertrophy and strength oriented training) online than anything evolution related. I still spend a good percentage of my time off and on, in terms of personal studies, reading over those subjects.

This past year I've been particularly into powerlifting, and plan on entering a competition within the next couple of years when I can bring my squat and bench up to respectable numbers :p In an ideal world, I'd like to post 300/400/500 in competition (300 lb bench, 400 squat, 500 deadlift), which is one of my medium-term goals. I'm about 40 lbs off that in bench, 70 off that in squats, and a full 100 lbs off that in deadlifts at the moment (in terms of form that'd pass in competition).

So yah - what's everybody else into aside from evolution/creationism? :p

Hmm. Metal :p :p :p

I should start a favorite music thread some time, as insanely lame as that'd be.

Long live Dimmu Borgir. See my sig \m/

Other hobbies of mine... hmm... too much free time on my hands and the only books to read beng my dads Quantum physics books, I've kind of gotten into QP. Aside from that... Taoism and entheogens (a wanker term for drugs that induce a mystical state, without such a negative connotation). My girlfriend even though I'm not really sure she would be a hobby...

Family man by choice, computer guru by trade. I have a wonderful wife http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/andrea_nagy/
http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/andrea_nagy/ (It's Andrea Rowe now ), a great son, and a little girl on the way. I own a network security firm and manage an IT department that supports multiple financial related companies. I am classically trained in programming but have branched out into just about every computer related field (network engineering, database engineering, internet developing, security, etc.) Any spare time is spent studying new technology, playing competitive volleyball, or helping uphold the separation of church and state.

And one more forum that I can't link since it'd break the rules.
hehe, first rule about Fight Club, you can't talk about it. :)

I'm thorougly interested in why people believe what they do, but right now, I'm trying to figure out Why People Believe Weird Things (pun intended), so that draws me into Crevo discussions a lot.

Basically, I mostly play an inordinate amount of computer games and read a little. I try to know a little about everything: politics, religion, philosophy, science. If it doesn't have any practical, day-to-day operation, chances are I'm into it.

Apart from this and my study, dancing. My goal is to become acquainted with as many dances as possible, especially couple dances, and become proficient in some of those. As of yet, I've done all the major ballroom and latin dances, some Argentine Tango, a bit of samba de gaffiera, some swing, Kapoeira and I'm currently heavily into salsa. Salsa dancing rocks and takes up most of my time, which I would otherwise fill with Aikido. Before dancing, I was heavily into martial arts, but dancing is just as graceful and without the pain :) I tried to do both, but that didn't work out due to time-constraints.
