Without having read the article, I will say that I am a Christian and take the story of the parting of the Red Sea as fact.

Having said that, I don't see how any evidence of Egyptian chariots found in the Red Sea can be proof of the Biblical story. There could be any number of instances where chariots ended up in the sea. Who can prove that these would be the same ones as in the story? You can't.

It's probably just another crazy guy trying to prove the Bible and only making a fool out of himself and Christianity.

Besides that, even conservative evangelical Christians know that the Red Sea was a mistranslation of yam suph, or "Reed Sea". Some guy in the article ignorantly dismisses that firm linguistic observation and says that it really refers to the Gulf of Aqaba arm. Aqaba is much too far east (it's actually in Jordan!), past the most likely spot of the Biblical Mt. Sinai. No wonder people laugh at us Christians.

Wyatt's been making these claims for years. He can't seem to produce any actual chariots, just some pictures of funny shaped rocks.

To be fair, Wyatt's been dead for 3 or 4 years so he's not making the claims any more.

I remember going to see him in Dallas with my Orthodox buddy. He and I had seen a few kook speakers previously, but with Wyatt we were constantly looking at each other with a "did he just say what I think he said" look on our faces.

The location of the actual Mt. Sinai is in dispute. The popularly named Mt. Sinai may not have been the mountain where Moses received the TC.

I have no clue how reliable these resources are, but here are a couple links on the subject:

Actually, it's not yam suph. It's yam cuwph (05488).

a) rushes

b) sea of rushes

1) of Red Sea

2) of arms of Red Sea

3) of Gulf of Suez

4) of sea from straits to Gulf of Akaba

When you look at Numbers 21:4 it says:

"And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea (yam cuwph), to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way."

The land of Edom was just north and east of the Gulf of Aqaba.

The site of the crossing of the Red Sea was found in the 1980's & it is in hte Gulf of Aquba the chariot wheels etc., were found! Even the Bible says Mt. Sini (Gal. 4:25) is in Arabia. Sini has been found conclusively also; it is easily identified even now excepy for the fact that the Saudi Gov. has put a fence & armed guard around the site as they fear the Israelis claimingf the site.

If its not to much of a bother, could you supply me with links to your evidence. I know nothing about this particular subject and its something I could spend a day or 2 learning about. Thanks

Okay try going to the website(s) drdino.com they have info on it & also Wyatt archaeological, doont know the website but it is easy to search for it to find. the pictoral evidence of the site(s) are overwhelming!

Overwhelmingly amusing. You can find coral that looks like Mickey Mouse if you look for it. But 20,000 chariots, 40,000 wheels, and all they find is one or 2 dubious formations and one planted wheel laying on the surface like it was put there yesterday.

We'll be discussing the UFO landing strips at Nazca Peru next...

Ron Wyatt is one of the least trustworthy sources out there (along with Carl Baugh...and for that matter, DrDino himself). He repeatedly has been caught fabricating evidence, and it appears most of his "finds" exist only in his head, or were planted evidence.

Even Creationists warn others not to use him, as his claims are very easy to debunk, since they either consist of no evidence, or evidence which doesn't match his story.

See here, one of AIG's pages on Ron Wyatt:

AIG's page on Ron Wyatt's "Discoveries"

and here, at Tentmakers indexed list of pages dealing with Ron Wyatt's frauds:

Tentmaker's Fraud Documentation on Wyatt Archaeological Research

Cheers,
