WASTED

Luke 16:1 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
So much has been wasted since the fall of Adam and Eve.
The heathen did not want to retain God in their knowledge, so he gave them over to reprobate minds. As sinners, our lives had no purpose before we were saved.
The Israelites wasted even the riches of Egypt in the wilderness, building a golden calf to worship. All who were 20 and above, their carcases fell in the desert–wasted lives. They would not believe the Lord. In the future God will lay waste the souls of those who reject Him and trample the blood of His Son underfoot. They will be sent into the wasteland of hell.
Can you be rightfully accused? Have you wasted God's time? In The Reality of the Blood it says: What good is a day if you don't have a praise for the Lord, if you do nothing good for Jesus, if there is no glorifying the Lord? Have you pursued your pleasures versus working for God? Even a moment cannot be wasted in pleasure seeking for self. Rather than seeking pleasure in entertainment, you could be seeking the face of the Lord. Psalmist said, Teach me to number my days (90:12). Number your days, hours, minutes in work for the Lord. Don't live in the past; decide you won't waste God's time anymore.
Time is wasted on needless worrying. [Here's a new slant: Worrying works. 98% of what I worry about never comes to pass! Just kidding.] Jesus said, Cast your burden on me and I will give you rest (Matt. 11:28-30). Why worry when you could be blessing God for the answer, praising Him and glorifying His name.
Time is wasted on mind battles when you can turn them over to the Holy Spirit and then take on the burden for lost souls. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:14-16). "Fools" waste God's time. Jesus said at a very young age that He must be about His Father's business. Young people, you need to get down to business. Sober up (Titus 2:4).
Billions, yea, trillions of words have been wasted. Words that do not edify, bless or strengthen are wasted. False accusations, criticism, words of doubt, opinion, words of no help or comfort like Job's "comforters", and so much of what is heard on the airwaves are wasted words. God's Word can be wasted. It sits on the shelf. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt (Col. 4:5). The salt is the love of Jesus. Is your speech seasoned with the grace of the Holy Spirit, the love of Jesus? Foolish jesting and teasing are wasted words. Strive not about words to no profit (II Tim. 2:14) that create endless questions and arguments. Edify your mate with words of love. Gossip, evil speaking waste words. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth (Eph. 4:9). God's name is used in vain.
Talent is wasted. See parable of talents. Pride and arrogance causes people to waste their talents. People bury their talents in the world of sin and pleasure. When we take on His purpose, our lives are not wasted. Our talents are used for his honor and glory.
Labor is wasted. Some people work their whole lives for themselves alone. At the end of their lives, they go to hell. They work to make names for themselves. If what you are doing is for ego and not for the cause of Christ, it is wasted work. Work so souls come to God and God is glorified. But watch that when you have done your work for God, you don't waste it all through your tongue of opinions and attitudes. Work must be done through the Spirit of God and the blood of Jesus.
Thoughts can be wasted. I hate vain thoughts, but thy law do I love (Psalm 199:13). How much do you think about the Lord, meditate on His Word? Bring every thought into the obedience of Christ (II Cor. 10:5). How much of your thought life is a waste of energy? Think the love thoughts of Jesus. Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? (Psalms 2:1).
Prayer has been wasted millions of times. Vain repetitions have no heart, no blood of Jesus. People sin during the week, then utter a prayer. Without the blood of the soul, only the prayer of salvation is not wasted for those people. Begging is not believing, then closing the case. Our privilege is to come before the throne at any time and having the ear of God. Our opportunity is to fellowship with God in prayer.
Hypocritical worship is wasted. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you,
saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me (Matthew 15:7-9). Vain worship means nothing to God. People come to church, leave, and continue in the same lifestyle. Two-faced, they show one face at church and another to the world or family. Are you for real?
Grace is wasted in so many lives. People trample His blood underfoot, wasting His forgiveness, His anointings, gifts for this hour. Treasure the anointings.
The fruit of the Spirit goes to waste because of compromise with the world. Be all the way with God now.
Fasting in self is wasted.
Opportunities are wasted when they are not seized in order to serve God with the whole heart to bring souls in. The message of the Gospel cannot be let go to waste.
And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. The rich man is Jesus: He gives the riches. Use them wisely.
