Yup, I'd agree. I think for a 20-year-old newlywed, you're probably pretty normal.

Hey, I've been married just about 10 years. I remember the first weeks and months. No way my hubby was going anywhere without me! LOL. But, yeah what you're feeling is completely normal.

The first couple days are the worst. I know. After that, put your mind on doing something special for when he comes home. Rearrange a room or something creative, so that he comes home to a suprise. It actually makes the time go by faster.

Well, one week after I got married my husband went away for two weeks as well, so I know how you feel. Since then he has been deployed twice and gone TDY(buisness out of town) more times than I can count, so if you need to talk you can PM me. As a matter of fact, my husband left on sunday for a month. So I know what you are going through.

*hug* It is tough. But you need to be able to cope when he's not around, too. Go easy on yourself, but try to get things done still. I suspect he'd enjoy getting home to someone who's been keeping the fort AND missing him... know what I mean?

God wants to bless newlyweds and help them get established together, so he instructs the rest of society to give them a chance.

We don't live according to all the Old Testament laws now, since many were for a particular time and culture.
However, sometimes we can see the sense in particular instructions, and it might be wise to follow them where we can within the limits of modern life.

You traveling wives are better than I. If hubby were traveling all the time, I'd be right by his side.

My hubby was recalled (1990) into the military 4 months after we were married and I was told he would be overseas in Iraq for a minimum of 1 year. I was a total wreck for the first week (locked my keys in the house three times--and I never did that before or since), then I "adjusted". I got to see him at his homeland base every weekend until the deployment.

God worked a miricle for our marriage and us, becuase his first deployment orders were lost confused: ), his whole batalion went, but not him.....no orders no travel. It took a week to recut them, and by then there was a hold on sending troops overseas. It took time, but he got home much quicker than the expected one year .

I pray for all those who went to Iraq in 1990. They were exposed to so many things then. And, I pray for the families that are affected by military depolyment now too.

oh gee - your perfectly normal from what I can tell.... Been married 25 years and the wife and I miss each ther terrible when seperated for any time...

My dad is only home with my mom on the weekends. I realize now how lucky I am that it's not like that with us. But I also see that I'll be okay if it ever DOES turn out like that. Thanks everyone for your support. Because of your advice, I've rearranged a room, put together a photo screen with my husband and my old school pictures, done ALL the laundry (quite a daunting task, if you knew me well!!) and gone shopping with my mother in law!
