Have you seen the book, will you read it? I used to like George Carlin, I thought his remarks on euphemisms (sp?) were incredible and very funny. But it is sad to say that although he has never claimed to believe in God (has said that there is no God, just a big ion) to me the guy just keeps getting more and more irreverent and is now a cartton image of what he used to be.

It is that is the sad part. He is a brilliant comedian who makes you think, but at the same time he has to resort to four letter words and trying to shock-jock everyone.

Im not to sure, but I just ate pork chops and would prefer him to bring back some chinese. Either that or the marriage supper should be buffet style with every kind of food in creation. MMMM.....

No I don't think I'll get this book. I've also notice that George seems to have become more anti-religious than he used to be....

I think I'll get that one right after I buy Moore's book on Fahrenheit 911...

Comedians have found that the more outrageous, the more they sell. Carlin has to top the rest to stay in the limelight, so this is not surprising to me, unfortunately.

Sorry, but I reject George Carlin for the heretic that he has proven himself to be. Until he changes himself, I will continue to avoid his works.

Got this guy pegged wrong. Carlin was in the mainstream at one time, but he bucked the system and went sour. He doesn't do this stuff to get any spotlight, he gives the finger to the spotlight. He does it because he is a twisted man, who a few years ago lost his wife to cancer.

What he seems like to me is a guy who is hurting. I have folowed him for years, and the older he gets the more cynical he gets. He tells it like he sees it not exactly how it is. Not sticking up for him too much, but he is not a guy who at all enjoys the limelight.

Well I suppose you ought not listen to me then because I fit in that definition as well.

He is a sinner that has not been saved by the grace of God of course he is going to have heretical thoguhts, ideas, and speeches. I don't blame you for wanting to stay away from him or what he talks about but in some eyes you yourself just may be a heretic as well.
