• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
• We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

trinity idea

There is no such thing as trinity. The problem is Christians tend to separate God from Jesus. However, the fact is Jesus was always God but simply in the second person. God operates in three manifestations: spiritual, earthly, and both. Now in Islam, Allah sometimes refers himself to...

Honor Killing in the Bible

Everyone has a right to their own interpretation! Not every bible interpretation an be agreed by all the same people. That is why you have different denominations. Even with Islam you have different interpretations between Shiite and Sunni thought. Ok fine that is your interpretation, but...

Honor Killing in the Bible

How is this relevant to someone's spirituality. My pastor is spirit filled, for he does not need sources. I asked my pastor many questions, and he answers quite sincerely. If he does not know the answer, he will pray about it and eventually...

Honor Killing in the Bible

One of my best friends is Jewish, and I asked him. He also said she was sacrificed, so I do not think this issue is clearly the same for all Jews. You have to remember though a lot of bad things happened during the book of Judges, so based on the circumstances and what the verses are implying...

Congratulations to the Conservative Victory

To be honest with you, the so-called "conservative values" of the Republicans is nothing but a front. Personally I do not subscribe to any political party, partly because I am independant. The reason being is that the Republicans are like Pharisees and the Democrats are tax collectors. So I...

Honor Killing in the Bible

Whether Jephthah did the right or wrong thing is not easy to make certain. The problem is he made a vow which he did not obviously want to break. So if you think about it, its like a catch 22. If he did not carry out his vow, he is violating his oath. If he carried out the sacrifice, then he...

Religious Views on Political Positions

Most people readily assume all Christians hold the conservative position in politics. This is not entirely true because I have met many Christians who consider themselves liberal. My first question is, what political position did Jesus have. Was He conservative? Was He Liberal? Or maybe was...

Eastern Religion/Philosophy Apologetics

I think the problem is people pay to much attention to historical facts and issues when the main point is to simply embrace spiritual messages that are positive. For instance, if someone proves that the existence of Budha is false, that does not mean I would totally disregard the positive...

The Hijab

God had specific requirments on how Levite priests were suppose to dress, so how can you call God shallow? There was wisdom behind why certain vestments were used. In regards to Islam though, I dont agree with the burqa but it is not our choice to dictate who wears the burqa. Just let...

The Hijab

From a levelheaded point of view, people do have the right to practice their faith. This is one of the great things about freedom and democracy. At the flip side, banning the burqa would look more like a sign of oppression, not a sign of freedom.

Sikh Religion: Question

However the one who started the Sikh religion, guru nanak, use to be a Hindu and then embraced monotheism. So there is technically still a bridge in regards to his original faith and newfounded faith.

War in the Old Testament

But you cannot deny that the nations of Canaan had to be destoryed because essentially it was a part of God's plan. He said: Deuteronomy 20:16, However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. 17 Completely...

Modesty : Christian vs Muslim

Contextually there was obviosly a reason why mens and womens clothes were differentiated in the Old Testament. Again though not sure of the exact specifics of exactly what women and men wore during those times. Yeah it makes no sense why they expect women to wear only skirts. Well that...
