  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is it too late for me?

Thank you all so much for the verses and advice, I truly appreciate it. Right now I'm trying to have more faith by reading God's Word, and I'm doing a discipleship program with someone from my Church. God Bless you all.

Is it too late for me?

Lately, I have been so struck with fear that I have been unable to find much peace or comfort in Christianity. I have been seeking Christ and trying to read scriptures, but I have this sickening feeling in my gut that says "It's too late, you're already dead, you're unforgivable". I want to...

Is the death penalty morally wrong?

I think the death penalty is wrong. Give them a life sentence and a chance to know Christ.

    Wal-Mart is Evil

This thread is nothing against the employees of Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart isn't creating jobs out of thin air. It's at the expense of local businesses and all of their employees, so don't act like they're this wonderful company that hires the needy.

How many Christians does it take to change a light bulb?

I'm sorry. :( I don't mean to offend anybody, I've just had some scary experiences with the Baptist Church.

    Immoral Benefit?

I still can't believe how intolerant a lot of Christians are acting towards atheists/agnostics in these parts. Very hypocritical for those who profess themselves to be in Christ, and certainly doesn't set a very good example for Christianity. (But then again, few people do.) @Macx: I'm judging...

    Wal-Mart is Evil

On behalf of my wife and I, we do not shop at Wal-Mart. This has nothing to do with me disliking Wal-Mart personally.

    Immoral Benefit?

What a vague and general question. The nature of mankind says: Yes. I would like to say no personally, but I have a history of being a human being, so who knows. I'll try not to I guess. Depends how "wrong" it is. There are some things I'd like to think I would never do... But if the grocery...

How many Christians does it take to change a light bulb?

Mormons are considered Christian now? Oh yeah, and... Sorry if this offends anyone: Baptists: 1 child to change the bulb, and 45 to make him feel guilty about it, preaching fire and brimstone and scaring him to death. The Baptist Bible consists of: The Old Testament + Revelations.

    Wal-Mart is Evil

FACT: 2 ninja responses while I was in the process of removing "FACT:" from the thread title. :P

    Wal-Mart is Evil

I never understood why so many Christians choose to shop at Wal-Mart. (Furthermore, even go as far as to leave their shopping carts in the middle of the parking lot, which is a huge pet peeve of mine.) If Jesus were physically here today, I'm pretty sure he would condemn the corporate monster...

    I'm sick of optimistic people!

I've never had any problem with "optimistic" people so to speak. My problem was with the people who chose to shut me out of their lives throughout my darkest hours, because I didn't fit in with their superficial pseudo-happy lifestyle.

Is it unbiblical to divorce a spouse in the case of infidelity?

If someone's spouse betrays them, I think the victim deserves to remarry and experience romantic and sexual intimacy again, with someone they can trust. Whether or not they should stay together is purely up to the victim, depending on how they choose to deal with it, and if the infidel is...

Is it moral to allow a house to burn down over 75$?

"This fire went on for hours because garden-hoses wouldn't put it out"... HAHAHAHAHAHA... Sorry, but that made me chuckle. :D
