  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Will Jesus appear on other planets?

That sounds like a pretty interesting book! I'll check it out. You can read more about mine (if you are so inclined) at eternalmessiah (dot) com

Will Jesus appear on other planets?

Thanks. I'm not sure that we are in that much disagreement though (and I may not have stated my position very well). I agree that another race would not have suffered from the sin of Adam. And also that they would have their own dealings with God. This is why I think if they do exist -- and...

Will Jesus appear on other planets?

So true! Just look at the different points of view on this forum! I will say that before my book "The Eternal Messiah" was published, I gave the manuscript to number of clergy members and theologians from a range of denominations (and even some other religions, such as Judaic scholars)...

Will Jesus appear on other planets?

I understand the consistency in your position, and respect it -- but I wonder about the premise that God did not create other life forms with souls. How do we know that? I believe that God created a very large universe for reasons only He can understand. I can't believe he created all the...

Will Jesus appear on other planets?

I don't think the passage you cite is necessarily inconsistent with life on other planets: 1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. If it were meant to specifically say that there was no life on other...

Will Jesus appear on other planets?

I agree. I think this is a good way to think of it that is, by definition, consistent with the belief in Christ. It is also not inconsistent with the Bible. I've used this concept as the basis for my book "The Eternal Messiah."

Will Jesus appear on other planets?

I mean any planet in the universe (not just our solar system). As for "appearing" I mean it in the literal sense -- just as Jesus appeared (existed) on Earth.

Will Jesus appear on other planets?

Will Jesus appear on other planets? I’m fascinated by different points of view on this – not only if Jesus will be discovered at a future time, but whether Jesus might have already appeared. What words did/will Jesus use? I have authored a (fictional) book on this topic, but for...

new Christian fiction book: The Eternal Messiah: Jesus of K'Turia

The best way to describe it is spiritual sci-fi, but it is not hard sci-fi at all -- a lot of people who don't like science fiction at all have loved the book. (Basically, it is sci-fi only because it takes place in the future, on another planet). Although the spiritual message -- that of...

    Shakespeare

One good ways to get a feel for Shakespeare (and to decide what you might like to read) is to get a list of quotes from different plays (a good list is in Bartlett's, which you can look through at any library or it might be online). For some people who have not read a lot of Shakespeare...

    Classic Recommendations

I agree with a lot of the recommendations made above, especially anything by Bronte (either one), Dickens, Hardy. Most of these though are a little 'heavier' reading. If you want to mix in some slightly lighter (but no less classical) fare, I'd suggest: Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier A...

    new Christian sci-fi book

Hello: My book The Eternal Messiah: Jesus of K'Turia has just been published and is available on Amazon. It is the story of a preacher, named Jesus, who is discovered on another planet. The book explores how people in another place and time would respond to the teachings of Jesus, and how...
