  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Vegetarianism: Doctrine of demons?

I see no mention of any man other than Peter in the passage. Do you claim the Old Testament supercedes the New? 14 Peter says he has never eaten anything common. 15 God claims the common to be cleansed.

Beavers, certain bees, certain birds keep Shabbat, it looks like!

    Vegetarianism: Doctrine of demons?

Here's my thoughts on Vegetarianism: Acts 10: 9-15 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, And saw...

God is omnipotent. Why did he rest on the 7th day of creation?

Gen 2:2-3 NKJV And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. Why do they translate...

    How would you rate schooling?

I was thinking that doing some kind of schooling or secular study would be considered work if done on sabbath, but what say you? I am looking at the possibility of schooling running after dusk on a Friday, that I would likely have to make special arrangements.

God is omnipotent. Why did he rest on the 7th day of creation?

If I tried to create an entire universe, I'd be pretty exhausted after 6 days, with nothing to show for it. If I did normal work for 6 days, I would be clamouring for some rest. Anyway Jesus did rest at times while he was on earth, so it isn't impossible God was a bit tired.

Thoughts on a 26 year old dating a 18 year old?

Sounds like she is very mature spiritually. A woman worth more than gold. The longer you delay in marrying her, the greater chance someone else might show an interest in her!

Introduce yourself if you are new to the Seventh-day Adventists section of CF.

New to this forum. I'm 56 years and believe in primarily following what the bible says. I've been watching Doug Batchelor, and the scriptural support he provided for keeping a proper sabbath won me over. ex. "If ye love me, keep my commandments." In Acts Christians switched from keeping a...

Introduce yourself if you are new to the Seventh-day Adventists section of CF.

Hi! Not an Adventist, but I celebrate Shabbat on the 7th day. I followed tradition on Sunday for a long time, but after studying the scriptures with Doug Batchelor, decided the 7th day made more sense. I believe the scripture should have the final say in all matters. I also believe in avoiding...
