  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When someone doesn't believe the Bible

I forget who said it, but someone said: "YOU may be the only Bible someone gets to read." In other words, witness with your life. Second, there is a difference between believing in the Bible and believing in God. The Bible is not God, Jesus Christ is. It's much more important to me...

    Inerrancy of the Bible

Thanks. But I have to say I am not convinced. We are basically saying it's inerrant b/c we say and believe it is inerrant, when the truth is, if there is an "original", no one has seen it. The oldest New Testament manuscripts we have only date back to the 4th century, and they are different...

    Inerrancy of the Bible

It's an issue I struggle with. I'm not sure how can people believe "every word" of the Bible is true when all the words we read are in English translation, so one version contains different words than the other. Even if people go to the original language of Greek and Hebrew, the early...

Do you belong to a "Mega Church"?

Thanks, Diane! It's my impression that most of these churches have done quite well financially...it is part of what is giving me pause, feeling like I am getting the Gospel of Prosperity... Thanks again. Wanderer

    Saddleback

Anyone goes to Saddleback Church? I'm interested in knowing more about it before I go. If anyone has good or bad things to say about it, I'd appreciate hearing! Thanks!

Do you belong to a "Mega Church"?

I've been to one in North Carolina. I thought there were just too many people! If you do belong to you, can you tell me what you like about it and what makes you go?
