  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can Jesus' miracles actually be pagan myths?

I must have mis-interpreted your response. I am saying that the teachings that pre-dated Christ' life by hundreds of years, are almost exactly the same as the "miracles" associated with him. These miracles transform Jesus from a man, a teacher, into a diety that is taught to be the only path...

Can Jesus' miracles actually be pagan myths?

The point of my discussion is that the "myths" attributed to Christ are meant to be taken literally, by the powers that uphold the strength of the Christian faith, but the sheer amount of "coincidence" cannot be ignored. While the powers have done their best to destroy, hide, and defame the...

Can Jesus' miracles actually be pagan myths?

Absolutley, Wiccans believe not only that we do not have the only path to the Creator, I believe that it is arrogant for any "religion" to claim this honor. Wiccan teachings do not come down from a central body, each is left to find their path, and all Wiccans that I know are far more accepting...

Can Jesus' miracles actually be pagan myths?

Wow, it is nice to see so many people willing to post intelligent debate. Here are some of the specific examples that I have found: The term Osiris-Dionysus is used by some historians of religion to refer to a group of deities worshipped around the Mediterranean in the centuries prior to the...

Can Jesus' miracles actually be pagan myths?

After much study I have become convinced that the miracles associated w/ Jesus Christ are actually pagan myths and mysteries that were plagarised by the early christians. Would love to discuss this topic with others. As a background I was raised devoutly christian, and have a good...
