  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

David C. Pack asks; "Were the 10 Cs "Done away"? ... And nothing ever; on 2 Cor 3:7? P2.

Im amazed why you do not know why the letter of the TC kills: Thou shalt NOT dwell on any impure thought Thou shalt NOT desire anything of your neighbours whether material goods or a member of their household Thou shalt NOT tell any even little fibs about another. Thou shalt NOT have wrong...

David C. Pack asks; "Were the 10 Cs "Done away"? ... And nothing ever; on 2 Cor 3:7? P2.

Yes, the ministration of death and condemnation, the letter that kills is clearly stated as the law engraved in stone, only the TC were engraved in stone, the rest of the law was written on parchments. The TC are done away with as a law as we all naturally understand law to mean, for that law...

Christianity, the Sabbath, Ten Comm, from Eden onward

You know, I went to a church on a Saturday once to please a friend for a while. It was relentlessly preached ''You must obey the TC.'' As you mentioned taking the Lord's name in vain. The second week I was there, two women were laughing and joking as they took the Lord's name in vain without in...

Christianity, the Sabbath, Ten Comm, from Eden onward

Paul also says we die to the law that we may live for Christ Rom7:4 Sinfull passions are aroused in us by the law verse5 We are released from the law and serve in the new way of the spirit not the old way of the written code verse6 He gives an example of one of the TC as to why this is so...

What happens spiritually that makes us born again?

Absolutely law provokes sin. And: "sin for a believers becomes a burden which afflicts him, rather than a pleasure that delights him. " Very true

Christianity, the Sabbath, Ten Comm, from Eden onward

We serve in the new way of the Spirit NOT the old way of the written code/law Sad to say you do not understand Paul's message

Christianity, the Sabbath, Ten Comm, from Eden onward

But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code/law Rom7:6 Seems to me Paul is saying we either follow after the Holy Spirit or the written code/law

    Who is Under the Law?

The law is indeed holy, just and good. However, sin takes occasion of what is holy, just and good to arouse sinfull passions in us, as Paul says. Why? Because of your fear of the penalty for transgression/being under the law, hence: For sin shall no longer be your master for you are not under...

    Who is Under the Law?

Someone says to a young teenager ‘’The righteous/justified will obey the TC, Let us suppose the young teenager is not in ignorance as to what is entailed in obeying the TC, they know no watered down version of them exists. Before them stands the tenth commandment. They must NOT dwell on any...

    Who is Under the Law?

Correct, which law did sin have dominion over him? Sin did not have dominion over him concerning the legalistic law of rite, ritual and ceremony did it, for he could faultlessly obey that law(Phil3:6) So, which law did sin have dominion over Paul? Which law in ch7 was the law of sin and death...

    Who is Under the Law?

because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Rom8:2 Link it to the previous chapter, there was no chapter headings when Paul wrote his letters, what was the law of sin and death in ch7?

    Who is Under the Law?

For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. Rom6:14 You agree, sin is the transgression of the law handed down at Sanai. The legalistic law of rite, ritual and ceremony could faultlessly be obeyed, even by the worst of sinners(Phil3:6) therefore...
