  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So Jesus didn't come for a church...

Jesus was benevolent to non-Jews but he clearly discriminates based on ethnicity in at least this one case... "21 Jesus went away from there, and withdrew into the district of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And a Canaanite woman from that region came out and began to cry out, saying, "Have mercy on me...

Should Christians be in the Army?

Pacifists by force... any other path would have resulted in a swift and brutal action from a blood thirsty Roman legion. Its highly likely that James' synagogue in Jerusalem had plenty of members who had personally experienced or knew of someone who had personally experienced loss of life by the...

    I don’t sin

Presenting things in short posts to the 'world' seems to be a dangerous thing... especially topics like sin and salvation. The concept of original sin, our need for redemption, the process of how redemption comes about and then our lifelong commitment to living for Christ... there's no simple...

Should Christians be in the Army?

Not true actually - I just recognize the value of sitting under the tutelage of those who are far wiser and more learned than myself... in conjunction with prayer AND meditation upon Scripture. Paul, Peter, John and others obviously saw the same value - that's why they helped create the...

Should Christians be in the Army?

Does that mean then that you find no value in listening to those who are wiser than you in certain areas of the Bible? Even listening to an opinion that runs contradictory to what you may believe has its value. So, is this possibly just a personal conviction that Jesus impressed upon you? Far...

How do you feel about alcohol consumption?

An example of religious nonsense - the Bible commands total abstinence of the consumption of any alcohol. THAT is religious nonsense - not that it is wrong to abstain for personal religious reason but to attempt to derive some type of biblical notion that it is wrong for everyone to consume even...

Birth Control of ANY Type Takes Life

Better question - when did Christianity adopt birth control measures as a religious practice. There are Talmudic passages referencing birth control techniques that were utilized by pre-Jesus Jews... which may suggest that the early Christian movement saw nothing wrong with it. And to put it...

    Israel's fight for survival

Being involved in Messianic Judaism has little to no bearing on your knowledge of the history of antisemitism. Antisemitism involves the persecution of Jews on the basis of either religion or ethnicity. Messianic Judaism obviously isn't Judaism and you don't have to be ethnically Jewish to...

Should Christians be in the Army?

So how did your 'revelations' about what classifies as moral/immoral come about? Did you "hear" him and then you cross checked it with Scripture? Or did you read Scripture and then prayed/meditated on it?

Should Christians be in the Army?

If all we need is for God to tell us, then why did he ever have anything recorded. Why not just ask man to pray to Him and then He'll reveal it to us personally?

    Israel's fight for survival

Could you please provide a reference for when Jesus said that? Again, I really don't think you've taken much time to actually study the history of the relationship between Judaism and Christianity... Because Christianity has been the aggressor 90%+ I am glad that mainstream Christianity does...
