CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I spend my time managing a 17-acre sport horse farm in Kentucky.
I have been a Christian since Summer of 1975. Involved in apologetics and evangelism since 1981.
I enjoy irenic conversations about the world we live in.
I don't enjoy snide, fallacious, ignorant and manipulative conversations, who does?
My wife says I need to work on my "Not suffering fools lightly attribute," as I have my settings at 10 of 10 in that area. But hey Jesus didn't suffer fools lightly either so I am disinclined to suffer them less then The Master.
But I do enjoy helping sincere people improve their ability to understand the real world. That includes helping atheists improve their arguments, and people who want less liberty and more government control give the best arguments for those views.
And finally, everyone I meet is my superior in that in some way I may learn from them (loosely quoting Emerson).
