  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No need to name these things, you know them because you've also struggled, or you've been mocked because you profess to believe these things. I'd say these things are also what prevent many from believing fully in...

Are you walking as Jesus walked?

This is one of the many iconic things my Grandparets had hanging in their living room, might be irrelevant (sorry if so), but the thread title brought it to mind.

    Help understanding the Holy Spirit

Would it make sense that the divinity of Scripture is one way that the Holy Spirit has sought to communicate with all mankind, from the start? When you're reading something in particular, something that strikes you in a way that's more than an 'ah-ha' moment, it seems to feel a little...

    Hello everyone

Hello everyone. I'm trying to come back to faith, I'm certainly not there at the moment. I struggle with the typical intellectual barriers people bump into when encountering Christianity. A part of me knows that it's a pointless endeavor to get hung up on small details, considering that it...
