  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Her Past

I know it can be tough. I went through a similar thing with my gf. I hated her ex, and for a long time, it was tough because I would see images in my head. I hated it. It felt horrible, but then I remembered that God had forgiven her, and, through prayer, I was okay. I had that same temptation...

    Arguments In A Long-Distance Relationship

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Me and my girlfriend are in a LDR. 6000 miles apart, at that. One thing I've noticed is that we are more likely to get frustrated with each other when we're apart. For example, I was home a couple months ago for a month and we didn't argue the...

    Premarital Cohabitation

I'll post mine here, even though I know ya'll will have something to say. ;). Me and my fiance are planning on moving in soon. Currently, I'm stationed overseas in the military, but we're planning on it after I get stationed stateside. The main reason in financial/seperation. There's no way I'll...

    Story Corner

I have two stories about my girlfriend. I met her through a Christian site and we had been talking about 6 months before we finally met. I'll never forget that day. I was in her house talking with her mom and she walked in. She literally took my breath away. I could find absolutly no words to...

What could she be up to?

Ok, so I've been talking to this girl for about 4 1/2 months and things have been going great. This is my first real relationship so there's a lot of stupid little things I do just because it's all new to me. She's been very patient with me, God bless her. Well, things were just fine, then all...

What do you girls think? Any such thing as too romantic?

Just wondering, is there a such thing as being too romantic? I'm in an LDR (6,000 miles away) and I try to do a lot of little things to show my girl how much I love and adore her. I was just wondering if there was a such thing as being too romantic? As far as I can tell, she loves everything I...

What can I do to help?

I have been calling her. She's not answering or calling back. I'm not sure why, but I can imagine. I just leave her short voice mails telling her I love her and I'm praying for her grandfather and her family. I hope it's helping.

What can I do to help?

It's tough. I have the mindset of protecting my loved ones and fixing whatever's wrong and in this case, I can't fix it and I hate knowing that she's in pain. I'm not sure if she wants to talk right now. Today was the first time in a long time that she didn't call me or send me a text message...

What can I do to help?

I'm military stationed overseas and my girl is back home. I just found out her grandfather is close to dying. Pretty much, they're just waiting. I have no idea what I can do from here. I'm trying to figure out how to be there for her, and I don't know what to do. I don't know what to say to her...

    dating over a distance

It can defintely work. I'm 6,000 miles from my girl (I'm military). Personally, I think you can get to know each other's personality, etc...a lot faster/better. If it's right, then distance will not mean anything. It's not always easy, but it can be defintely be done.

Little things -- need advice from girls

I have a quick question. I'm in an LDR and I'm kind of a romantic at heart, and I like doing the little things. First, I'm looking for some ideas I may have missed. Second, I was thinking of having flowers delivered frequently, like once a week or every other week (pretty much just as the...

    What am I feeling?

First, I want to thank everyone for their replies. I have another question. I've never actually been 'in love' with anyone. How do you know when you really love someone, and I mean more than a friend? I'm not saying I think that's where I am. After all, we've only been talking a couple months...

    What am I feeling?

I met this girl through a Christian dating site. She lives near where I'm from but I'm currently stationed pretty far away from home (military). We've been talking about 3 months and for the last 2 1/2 months we've talked every day on the phone. Her personality instantly impressed me. For years...
