  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A Proposition for a Theological debate concerning who God is and who Jesus is

God gave Jesus the authority by what Jesus accomplished to do many things and we have eternal life available to us and we must remember he was MADE perfect by what he did. You and I must realize the context and what the rest of Hebrews sets out for us so beautifully It blows my mind that...

A Proposition for a Theological debate concerning who God is and who Jesus is

Jpark you gave a reference of a verse that I truly believe you and others have misunderstood when examined a little closer and I hope to lay it out to make clear a few points on it. 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know...

A Proposition for a Theological debate concerning who God is and who Jesus is

A very well done post and although I disagree with much of your take it is still impressive and detailed. I would like to start with the first few verse and thoughts as my time is limited and will adress the rest later,or someone else can also chime in. Yes Jesus after he ascended is still...

A Proposition for a Theological debate concerning who God is and who Jesus is

My point was that if one could debate using scripture for reference to prove a doctrine or creed that it may difficult. Appears after 60 views and no takers that it may be impossible to describe for some views on Who Jesus and God truly are. God and his attributes should be set forth in...

A Proposition for a Theological debate concerning who God is and who Jesus is

Thankyou. However "agent" I am not sure is a word used in scripture unless there is a translation I don't use uses it.

A Proposition for a Theological debate concerning who God is and who Jesus is

I don't see using scriptural words as a gauntlet. If using Gods Word creates a gauntlet then they can take it up with God because its his Word afterall. God inspired his Word and out of 66 books and words used to describe himself and his Son, words which appear nowhere must be used and...

    Scripture Proof...Jesus is God

There is no question that Jesus “existed” before the world began. But did he exist literally as a person or in God’s foreknowledge, “in the mind of God?” Both Christ and the corporate be in the Body of Christ, the Church, existed in God’s foreknowledge...

A Proposition for a Theological debate concerning who God is and who Jesus is

Jesus Christ said that the Word of God is truth. God specifically says in Scripture that He wants men to come to a knowledge of this truth. If Christians are going to do so, then there must be an appreciation of what is logical and what is not. Otherwise, nonsense masquerading as spiritual...

A Proposition for a Theological debate concerning who God is and who Jesus is

A Proposition for a Theological debate concerning who God is and who Jesus Christ is. Here is my proposal. 1. Words that are not in the Bible may not be used as the basis for explaining central doctrinal beliefs. 2. Using mathematics to describe concepts that when stated clearly defy the...

    The Nicene Creed.

if somehow I could accept a theory that is contradictory in the terms of its definition, I would only need to find one text that asserts that God is only one person in order to refute this model. Jesus gave us just such a verse when he said, “This is eternal life, that they may know You...

    Scripture Proof...Jesus is God

Perhaps you are right. I believe what I believe because it is a cherished belief of mine that goes back to when Jesus Christ walked and declared who God was and who sent him. The words of Jesus did not support the view of Jesus being God in fact his own words opposed such a view. Jesus...

    The Nicene Creed.

Lets examine the twisting of words to support false teachings then as it applies to the verse you quote. Isaiah 9:6 “And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace….” (NIV) Trinitarians should admit that this verse is translated...

    Scripture Proof...Jesus is God

This thread is soooooooooooooooo offtrack I believe the mystic emissary got what he wanted and unfortunately I helped by asking questions. There was no need to even ask questions except out of curiosity because I for one don't think the fertilizer he has spread is even very good for a...
