  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In Dan.12.11; Is it a sacrifice that’s taken away and an abomination set up for 1290 days? The Hebrew doesn’t actually mention a “sacrifice.”

In general, I agree with your larger themes - faithful not being 'raptured' which is to say that the faithful are individually persecuted/ killed, but corporately saved. Also your points about the giving over and not 'sacrifices' necessarily. On specific timeframes, I would disagree. I imagine...

    Nuclear weapons in the Bible?

It's strange that people want this passage to be talking about nuclear missiles... Maybe there is nuclear war in the end time, but this passage is not proof of it. The 'flying roll' is the 'covenant' of Dan 9:27. It's massive size indicates the scope of God's wrath (the curses) for the breaking...

Does the Hebrew grammar of Daniel 9:24–27 support Christian Widener’s “double seventy-weeks” interpretation?

2 Cor 11:14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. Rev 12:9 9And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Does the Hebrew grammar of Daniel 9:24–27 support Christian Widener’s “double seventy-weeks” interpretation?

The graph indicates that the Daniel 9:27 covenant is made 30 days after the abomination in Jerusalem - 30 days after the start of the 1290 days. The covenant is 'cutting the great tribulation short'. The 1260 days of the 2 witnesses are the exact 1st half of the covenant. It is occurring after...

Does the Hebrew grammar of Daniel 9:24–27 support Christian Widener’s “double seventy-weeks” interpretation?

They aren't the same word, but the root word for 'confirm' in Dan 9:27 is 'gabar' which translates as 'to make strong'/ 'make mighty' - hence the 'Mighty' Angel.

Does the Hebrew grammar of Daniel 9:24–27 support Christian Widener’s “double seventy-weeks” interpretation?

As to the timing issues: so if 1542 was the start, we should have seen something in 1976 (marking the 62nd week), which I can't find. Treaty with Egypt in 1975, 1977, 1978, but nothing really notable. I'm totally open to the idea of 2025-2032 finishing out the 490 years, but I just don't see...

Does the Hebrew grammar of Daniel 9:24–27 support Christian Widener’s “double seventy-weeks” interpretation?

I appreciate your diligence here. But if we are going to go with various non-standard interpretations, we need scriptural witnesses to back up these hypotheses. In other words, does Revelation back up this interpretation? I have said this a billion times, but no one seems to be willing or able...

    Daniel 11:40-44, followed by Armageddon

The prince of Tyre and king of Tyre are not 2 different entities. They are one and the same. Before a king is a king, he is a prince. The prince of Tyre is an angel who becomes a king. Dan 9:26: And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Itsf end...

List of our different views about the Antichrist

Why are you trying to misrepresent my view? There are many antichrists. You are oversimplifying things way too much. And don't put me down as anything on your list.

List of our different views about the Antichrist

This question is meaningless as the term, 'antichrist' is literally nowhere to be found in the Old Testament or anywhere in Revelation... So what are you asking? You have to be more specific. Do you mean the person who confirms the covenant of Dan 9:27? Do you mean the person who attacks...

    Daniel 11:40-44, followed by Armageddon

Who do you think the 'dragon' is in Rev 12?!!! 1And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth. 3And another sign...

    Daniel 11:40-44, followed by Armageddon

Damascus, Syria will be destroyed at the 7th Trumpet, which will be the 'middle of the 7 years' as you put it. Why? Because Rev 12's 'sign of the son of man in heaven' is a reference to Isaiah 7 & 8's 'sign of Immanuel'. This sign indicates the speedy destruction of Damascus and Ephraim (led by...

    Daniel 11:40-44, followed by Armageddon

The Abomination is described in Dan 11:38 And in their place, he will honor a god of fortresses—a god his fathers did not know—with gold, silver, precious stones, and riches. The Assyrian is the 'despicable person' in Dan 11:21. The Assyrian is not the same person as the king of Tyre. The...

Riders of Renewal: How the Four Horsemen Begin in the End Times

Yes there is a dual nature to the horsemen and their judgments. They are based on Deut 28's blessings and curses for obedience/ disobedience. that's why, for example, famine is qualified by 'mind the oil and wine' corresponding to Deut 28:4-5 against Deut 28:17-18. The white horseman...
