    Actually there have been several people cured of diabetes. The Cure is harsher than the disease at this time and is usually combined with other treatments for the complications.. (kidney and pancrease transplants). there is also the Edminton (?sp) protical but that also has its bad downsides...

    Yes stress causes insulin resistence. I had to leave the Peds ICU because my bloodsugars were so unpredictable.

    I was Diagnosed at the age of 15 and now work as a nurse in the area of pediatrics and I also do work with those that have also been diagnosed with Diabetes. Not to mention Camp every summer.. Stressful but fun.

    Just remember many don't have any risk factors and still get Diabetes. I am one of those becoming "Pancreatically Challenged" in 1992 at the age of 15 and with a weight of 79 pounds.
