  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Experiences homeschooling?

One of the biggest objections to hime school was the lack of socialization. However, one might consider the institution of school similar to the institution of prison. The social skills one acquires is often similar to the social dynamics one can find in prison. This is why so many kids join...

    Satan's Hand in History

Today Satan's power is limited to lies and deceptions. Those who walk in truth can be free. However, since God is truth, most people reject this and are subject to being drawn into Satanic deceptions. He will be bound for a thousand years after the tribulation

    Responding to Life Itself

Such advice sounds appealing and harmonious. However the problem of humanity is our basic selfish nature. This is only changed by the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of a believer if allowed. Essentially Christianity is supposed to be the transition from consumptive...

"The Meaning of Foreknew in Romans 8:29"

It might be helpful to consider that those who were foreknown would be those who entered that category of the body of Christ. What was predestined would be the possibility that some could be saved and those who entered this category could be called elect.

Ethics on lies and how to tell other Christians that they are supporting liars.

Jesus warned his disciples against hypocrisy. We tend to think of hypocrisy as intentional deception. However, the danger lies in self-deception. Consider the warning Paul gives to Timothy regarding Christians who are in error, that they are in the snare of the devil. Truth is the key to...

Critical Theory and the Politics of Divine Love, Part 1

A man that believes in God is like someone asleep in the back seat of a speeding car. If he awakes he sees someone he trusts driving and can go back to sleep. The atheist is like a man in the back seat of a speeding car that awakes to see no one driving and scrambles to take the wheel himself...

    Career Advice needed

One can lower the river or raise the bridge. Some families go with one income to be able to home school. They often have to move someplace cheaper or take other cost cutting steps. Living cheap isn't the end of the world. It sounds like you are tempted to return to sales. You mention the...

    Work frustrations

People who see God as controlling every aspect of our lives can come to see God in an unfavorable light when things go bad. One technique I found useful in the Army for surviving poor supervisors is to adopt what I call the slavery mentality. If you find someone micromanaging you or yelling at...

Is it wrong to be realistic?

Scandinavians have a reputation for aloofness. It may be related to a neurology similar to Aspergers (now lumped in with autism). I once heard a person remark of the differences between Italians and Germans so perhaps there is a degree of cultural difference as well. There are positive and...

Do God take way your bond to nature before entering Heaven?

Nature is simply the reflection of the creator. To be with the creator is to be with the source of nature.

    What is a Christian fundamentalist?

The term fundamentalist in popular parlance derives from a series of books written for use in Churches in the first part of the 20th century. These were to counter the growing influence of Freud, Darwin, and Marx as well as the general growth in a secular view of Christianity coming out of...

How to talk to a particular family member about Jesus

You might ask him if he might be open to hearing about Jesus. He would probably not be. You can then say you understand why he might be reluctant. Jesus has been presented in so many poor ways that most people are gun shy. Once he can see that you are sensitive to his apprehensions, you might...

Christians Have No Right To Be Adultists

If you consider that we are all born helpless, ignorant, and selfish that parents are necessary to help us improve on this initial condition. That some parents abuse this through their own helplessness, ignorance, and selfishness is a testimony as to how important good parenting is. Trying to...
