CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello there! I am 25 and married with a daughter and soon to be a new baby boy! I am currently a stay at home mommy, but I am also a OIF and OEF veteran.
Religion has always been a touchy subject with me and I have been on and off my entire life with several different religions. I was raised a mix of Baptist and Pagan which you can imagine can be a little bit confusing. Most of my adult life I identified myself though as being a Pagan. However in the last year a lot of things have changed in my life and I felt more and more drawn into learning about the Lutheran Church and after months of practically arguing with our Pastor and taking classes I got confirmed in the LCMS church with my loving and patient husband standing right next to me
I look forward to meeting any new people!
