  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    The Trinity

Psalm 110:1, whether read from the original Hebrew, Masoretic text, or Greek Septuagint, distinguishes the Most High God from his servant, Jesus Christ. The fact that his verse is referenced over and again in the New Testament gives us the assurance as to its significance and relevance to God's...

    The Trinity

Neither “lower case” nor “upper case” in English Bible translations is a reliable way to determine the intent of the original languages, which is why there is a lot of confusion when reading the English Bible, no matter which translation is being used. The original respective languages bring the...

    The Trinity

Regarding I Tim 3:16 ... The accurate translation reads, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: which was manifest in the flesh,..." It was due to a scribe that the Greek word “OC” was changed into “theos.” The earliest manuscripts available, do not read God (theos) but...

    The Trinity

"Fully God, fully man" ... this not only makes no sense, but is not an idea of scripture. (100% + 100% = 200%) There is not one place in all of scripture that indicates that Jesus the Christ is also "fully God". This type of dichotomy exists only in philosophy. And because the Bible, not the...

    The Trinity

razzel, agree that all scripture needs to be harmonized and taken into consideration when studying for the truth. justlookin, right ... which is why I believe Jesus is who the Bible says he is ... the Son of God.

    The Trinity

John is consistent in all of his writings throughout the New Testament. The prologue can only be understood when compared with all of his writings, which teach that Jesus is the Son of God, a person sent from and by God to do and speak His will, in accordance with the prophesy of Moses, Duet...

    The Trinity

So, basically, neither of the terms or phrases, "God the Son" nor "God in the flesh", are terms of scripture, but rather extra-biblical mantras. My question was to those who use these terms to show any place in all of scripture where they are used. No one could show an instance. Why should we...

    Who is Israel Really?

A true Jew is one with a circumsized heart (not flesh). Romans 2:27-28 Ezekiel 37 speaks of the stick of Judah and the stick of Joseph/Ephraim being joined as one. In other words, Ezekiel refers to the two harvests (first resurrection saints [which is why Ephraim in not listed in Rev. 7), and...

    The Trinity

Just curious ... where is the term "God the Son" in the Bible ... and where is Jesus called "God in the flesh"? (I know this terminology is in Roman Catholic catechisms, but I can't find these terms or phrases in scripture.) Thanks.

    Jesus is God.

No where in scripture is God any other than the Father. Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, according to Matthew 16:16. Jesus Christ is not the living God. Who are we to confess that Jesus is? "Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him and he in God."...
