  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Christian / non believer relationship

Excellent answer K9. Shame that we have not had an update, as yet, from the man himself.

    Christian / non believer relationship

No problem here for me. The girl is free to marry, I presume, and so is the man, this is the basis I am working on. A prostitute would count as 'fornication', or 'adultery' - not marriage, as they are already married to multiple other men, in theory - their choice, and not what we are...

    Christian / non believer relationship

Ok! So i'm going to make a reasonable assumption here, you're a red-blooded male - right? You've already had sex - right? (correct me if i'm wrong, and forgive my impudence). You bed her, you wed her, simple as. You are already married. Regardless, what you have is a woman who loves you, this...

    Hola soy nueva aqui....

If I get that right, you're asking if there are any Puerto Ricans? I'm English, my wife is Mexican, but my Spanish is lousy, but hola anyway.

    I need Help!

Sounds like a jolly decent chap, he could have you hanging around, just something for when he comes home. He is obviously focused on his future, understands he needs an education, a good job & all that, before he commits himself to marriage. I know the emotions of being 19, but believe me, you...

    Polygamy

Forgive me, I thought I was in the 'Christian' Forum??. I was not referring to other cultures. I thought we would at least have the Word of YHWH (God) in common, whether or not we have the same understanding, we use the bible in this section, that was my understanding. I was merely...

    Polygamy

I personally dont have a problem with the idea of Polygamy, but would defer the decision to my ( one and only) wife, should it ever be a concept that we need to consider. I think it is quite clear how YHWH views sex, and we can enjoy it within a 'marriage'. A marriage can consist of one...

    Another anonymous gift

Many thanks for the kind & friendly act of the gift, I can only speculate again, but that will make me all the more careful with my companions here. Thank you:blush:

Home-schooling proves its merit with scholarships

Fair points, I will get back to you if you are interested, but that will be a long answer. In the meantime, you can take it my opinion if you like, if it makes it easier for you, its just that, my opinion. I speak as a fool obviously. I take it you dont read the newspapers, or watch the news...

Personal choice, don't like using those terms, prefer to use the Creators true name, rather than a generic title. And dont see the point in using a derivation from a Greek word, but I have no problem accepting your use of it. It is not censorship, it is a choice that I have a right to exercise...

Home-schooling proves its merit with scholarships

Just for the record Secular. concerned with the affairs of this world; not concerned with religion or religious belief. Not spiritual or sacred....not bound by religious rule. In other words, atheism [ Gk, Without G_d]. I have nothing against keeping 'religion' out of school, but surely...

Home-schooling proves its merit with scholarships

Glad to hear your viewpoint, rob, always nice to hear what the young people have to say, after all, you are seeing things from a vantage point I no longer have. You put your thoughts together very well, and if your experience of home-schoolers is so dramatic, then I fully understand your...

Exactly  And they do not necessarily educate. Educate. 1. To give intellectual, moral, and social instruction. 2. provide education for. 3. train or instruct for a particular purpose. I can do that.
