  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    We Cannot Loose Our Salvation

New testament: Rev.3:5 He that overcometh shall thus be arrayed in white garments; and I will in no wise blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. perhaps we are influenced by the warranties and guarantees in our society...

Any day is suitable for worship. Sunday is not the sabbath or any type of "holy day". So I think you're onto something!:)

    Christians and Politics

I try to figure out God's opinion. The easiest way to do that is to study Jesus' attitude toward politics. He perfectly reflects his Father's feelings. Jesus' world was more politically charged than ours. The nation of Israel was not supposed to be ruled by Gentiles. Yet the Romans not...

    Birthday Parties

We feel that the Bible really is the only authority. So the fact that none of God's people (Israelite or Christians) are ever recorded in the Bible as having birthday celebrations is significant to us. And it's not that the Bible is mute on the subject. There are 2 birthday celebrations...

Why is it so popular to slam the Bible?

Work is holding me under water right now, but when I come up for a breath, I would like to respond to post #10. BTW, I came across this in my study this morning. I thought it was applicable: (1 Thessalonians 2:13) . . .Indeed, that is why we also thank God incessantly, because when YOU...

Restored true worship in our times.

wow! I'm amazed! Ok, I give up! BTW, I agree that "worship" literally means bow down, and I do bow down in my personal prayers at times. But this thread made me dizzy!

Restored true worship in our times.

could you open another thread on the bowing down thing? This thread is about whether God will have some religion during the last days that He will use to spread the kingdom message in all the earth. So.....presuming that we all agree that the Israelites and then the first Century Christian...

Why is it so popular to slam the Bible?

For example: accurate history is often revealed in the details. A lot is now known about ancient Egyptian life. The Bible accounts are amazingly accurate. Moses was obviously thoroughly acquainted with the Egyptian language, customs, beliefs, court life, and etiquette. Even today, bricks...

Why is it so popular to slam the Bible?

That's exactly the point--it's easy to convince people that truth is relative, evolution is true, God is cruel etc... But you have to pull out all the stops to convince someone that the Bible is accurate and even then they probably won't believe you.. It just doesn't seem that the Bible is...

Why is it so popular to slam the Bible?

Why is it so popular to slam the Bible these days? Even most churchgoers believe the Bible is a product of man. No one doubts the words of Plato, Socrates, Josephus, Tacitus or other ancient writers even though there are very few manuscripts remaining and they have considerable variation...

    Tithing, A requirement?

In my congregation, we don't believe in tithing. Tithe was basically a tax in the Jewish nation. There should be no paid clergy today. Mt. 10:8 "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons: freely ye received, freely give." There is no scriptures teaching tithing in...
