  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    are there dangers in liberlism/universalism?

By liberalism I'm speaking of theological liberalism, The concern would be in aspects that may oppose the Gospels, sound doctrine, for example to put forth the notion that Jesus was only a man with a positive social justice message to share and what the Gospels record isn't important. A...

    are there dangers in liberlism/universalism?

interesting points. i too feel it is in Love and hope that we should strive to share the Gospel message in. it is interesting when tolerance , inclusiveness and equality being spoken of loudly ,seems also to invole a selective special interests as which to be 'inclusive' and a stereotyping of...

    are there dangers in liberlism/universalism?

are there hidden dangers in liberalism/universalism theology? is there double standards? if God and neighbour are held in Love by any faith group, does that coincide with the Gospel message? would evangelism in such a situation reveal ourselves as intolerant ,bias, and unloving?

John 3 New International Version (NIV) John 3 Jesus Teaches Nicodemus 1 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one...
