  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    How to get an infraction:

I was able to find a download of it online. Spelling errors abound the result of manual copying I suspect. It gives an interesting view of the Catholic Church from a person who spent the first 50 years of his life as a Catholic, even becoming a priest, followed by 40 years as a protestant. The...

    What is Marriage?

I thought I knew the answer to this, but the problem I have come across is that in the OT you have concubines and wives, the difference between the two being that a man had undergone the formalities of a wedding with his wife and had done no such thing with the concubine. Childeren born to a...

    Evil person in my family

I cannot imagine what it must be like to be in a position such as yours but remember Rom 12:14"Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse." and Rom 12:17-21 "Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible as much as depends on...

Trying to understand my salvation (imput welcome)

I agree with lambslover as James says faith without works is dead you cannot profess to being a Christian and blatantly disregard God's word, statutes and commandments that He has set for us. Yes we will fall into sin because we are of a sinfull nature the point is to try not to give in to...

    What is the difference??

To my knowledge the only difference between the two is quiet simply anabaptist means to be rebaptised. Dictionary definition "From Late Greek anabaptizein, to baptize again" eg. if a catholic were to convert to the baptist faith he would be baptised again and thus be an anabaptist. If from this...

    The Lesser Evil Mentality

Are you talking about doing something that is viewed as being politically and socially unacceptable, yet in reality it is what God wanted, and to have not done the act would have been religiously wrong. For an extreme example Jael and Sisera in Judges where Jael drives a tent peg through...

    Exorcism, Movies, and You

I personally believe that the reason why exorcisms as well as stigmata, are prodominatly seen in the catholic religion, is as the quotes that mesue posted show that as human kind we seek signs, physical examples of what we believe show religious truth. People are thus drawn to the denominations...

    Is This Normal?

Yes I believe this is normal you cannot possibly hope to grow in your faith if you are not willing to question, if you dont question what is going to drive you to find out the truth. The bible has all the answers, we may not be able to comprehend or fully understand them all, we just have to...
