  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Can someone explain this to me? Daniel 9:27???

I lurk around these forums a lot. I thought maybe I would throw out a word from one of the Catholic saints and give a Catholic perspective on this verse. According to St. Hildegard, (i'm almost positive it was her, sometimes I get them confused) when the antichrist comes to power he will...

    MAtthew 16:18-other views

I'm sure we have to get beyond the Greek and get to the Aramaic. Because that's what Jesus and the Apostles spoke. The correct rendering of Matt. 16:18 is large rock. (Kepha) as was used in Mk.3:16. They were also speaking in the area of Cesarea Philippi in which is located a massive rock. Don't...

    Who forgives sin?

The Forgiveness of Sins All pardon for sins ultimately comes from Christ’s finished work on Calvary, but how is this pardon received by individuals? Did Christ leave us any means within the Church to take away sin? The Bible says he gave us two means. Baptism was given to take away the...

    Question About Confession

Confession Are all of our sins—past, present, and future—forgiven once and for all when we become Christians? Not according to the Bible or the early Church Fathers. Scripture nowhere states that our future sins are forgiven; instead, it teaches us to pray, "And forgive us our...

    Eucharist and John 6

Tradition / Church Fathers I. Jesus’ Real Presence in the Eucharist "They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again."...

    The Necessity of...

...Baptism Christians have always interpreted the Bible literally when it declares, "Baptism . . . now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as an appeal to God for a clear conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ" (1 Pet. 3:21; cf. Acts 2:38, 22:16, Rom...

    Baptizm

Born Again in Baptism One key Scripture reference to being "born again" or "regenerated" is John 3:5, where Jesus says, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." This verse is so important that those who say baptism is...
