  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Virgin for Life

Holy Warrior: This is only going to be a brief post because I am rather busy; and because of this, I will only be making my points - I will not be justifying them properly. Now Mark Driscoll is a highly talented preacher who has managed to connect with people in a way that few evangelical...

I'm afraid to get married! =[

Lemon-zester of Doom (it sounds way cooler than Morning~Glory): Congratulations and all the best with your recent marriage! Mnse87: While there are some wise people that I know who got engaged extremely quickly, it is the exception, rather than the norm. Take your time to work through the...

    Virgin for Life

SkyArk: In so much as singleness being a valid option for the Christian, I agree with you. Jesus taught that it was a valid option, and contrary to comments made by some on here, it is not at all an inferior calling to the married life. Jesus and Paul both allude to the practical advantages of...

    A question for young women.

To any moderator before they delete this post: I know that I am 17. I however am at university and my friends are almost exclusively older than me. Please then do not delete this post. Shiversblood: This might come as a shock to you, but not everything that the United States of America does is...

Minimum requirements for being a Christian

Repent for your sins and trust and follow Jesus. To be honest though it is in a way the wrong question. We are not saved by our works but through Jesus. This doesn't mean though that we can come up to Jesus and try and wing it into heaven. Like if we are truly sorry for our sins, if we realise...

    Can WOMEN preach in CHURCH?

I think that the case against women being pastors and teachers is far stronger than that for although I am not willing to get into this circular argument. However I will add just one thing that you can interpret for youselves. I have not read through all of the responses here so I appoligise if...

What make you think the bible is real?

Some other good books: "A Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel (focuses on evidence from Jesus' divinity and evidence for what the NT says about Christ but the bible's validity flows from this due Jesus' acknoledgement of the OT. Its done as a series of interviews with scientists, historians and so...
