  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I get that and I've been there.

    The Evangelical Problem

So you're saying they should shelter in place until they can obtain legal immigration or asylum status? How long does that take and how much does it cost? Is that realistic to you?

    The Evangelical Problem

Who are you to call them "elements" which would change or corrupt our communities? They're human beings like you, and many come with desires and dreams like the immigrants of old who came here. Also, no one wants open borders and, yes, the influx of illegals must be better managed. However, we...

    The Evangelical Problem

Worse, America is full of unfaithful, fearful and unforgiving Christians that are slipping into chaff category. Everything Trump touches dies, be it his businesses that have consistently gone bankrupt to evangelicals who act like he's the third coming. Repent and come back to your first love.

    The Evangelical Problem

Biden worked with Congress to build a bipartisan bill that would also add 100's of additional agents at borders (it's online if you care vet it). Not only did Trump order Speaker Johnson not to put the bill to a vote, Senator James Lankford (a republican who helped structure the bill) was...

    The Evangelical Problem

Try very hard to get Trump out of your head. No political leader has ever said or want open borders. Borders are not what my post was about, it's about evangelizing the world like the Lord told us to do, and to look at those who do make it into our country as an opportunity for them to receive...

    The Evangelical Problem

God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Donald Trump’s evangelical base does not appear to know this. “Go out into the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” How much easier can it get when people are coming here to escape oppression. Yes...

    Help with anxiety/regret/guilt after breakup

Time and prayer. Both are the best remedy, and pay attention to your breathing. Breaths are shorter when we're stressed or in torment (it's like we're suffocating in it), so breath more deeply off-and-on or whenever you notice it happening. She's obviously moved on, so there's no unfinished...

    Faith

Jesus told his disciples "You have seen so you believe. Blessed is he who has not seen yet believe." Believe that the Lord is who he says he is, that God can do what Jesus said he can do, that the blood that God anointed to provide salvation is ours for the asking. In the Book of Hebrews Paul...

    Suffering

We all have the life we deserve. We also have the right to change that life for the better through faith, "for faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." There are forces we must trust the Lord to fight for us, because they are spiritual and we can't fight...

Should prayer with clients be mandatory?

How do you judge who is and is not worthy of prayer? What are you going by? If the person is willing, then pray with them. You work in outreach and they're looking for help, so prayer can help overcome a multitude of sin. If the prayer is rejected it shall return to you for someone who is.

Should I tell this activist about their sin ?

It you're don't mind being confrontational, then yes. Most people aren't, and those that aren't can pray the Lord will guide them to someone they would hear.

What if I just don’t buy it?

When you read the Bible, concentrate on the New Testament, and start with the Gospel of John and read this gospel three times before moving on. That said, there is something you must understand. Jesus tells us God is a spirit, so His word is spiritual which means the Bible is not a book for...

I want to write some novels, but I don't know if God approves of any of them.

I see your dilemma, but you don't want to put yourself in bondage. If you have a story, write it but maybe not one that directly gives the enemy any glory. Instead, you can create a fictional nemesis who may be seen as devilish in its ways and build your hero's dealings with it from there. My...
