I gained 33 with my first and 28 with my second. What's funny is that it took me 4 months to lose the weight with my first baby and only two weeks to lose it from the second.
Oh, and you can always switch providers, even at the last minute. A couple of military wives I know PCSed at 38 or 39 weeks and changed doctors. One girl I know changed doctors at 37 weeks and still had a VBAC with her new doc :).

Don't be embarrassed. If you have any concerns, I would go ahead and visit the doctor. Waiting 11 weeks and worrying about it is just going to be stressful for you. I think the peace of mind would be worth a visit :)
What about sewing/knitting/crocheting/embroidering? Even if you don't know how, it might be a good time to learn. I'd check out craftster.org and maybe try to come up with some other crafts you don't have to get out of bed to do. Maybe bring your TV into your room so you can play video games...
This happened to my Grandma, too, with her first son (baby #5). She took FOUR days to name him and finally they told her she had to hurry up and name him so she could leave the hospital.
