  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

what's th ebig deal about the cross and long as we know Christ died for us?

I must say this is interesting. Let us consider the case that everything in our faith is important, that it has meaning; therefore nothing is done in vain. This means that the Cross, both as a shape and a symbol, is important. The question then, is not "should the cross be important?" but...

    Do you hate temptations?

I guess it is about what we understand by temptations. I love Fulton Sheen's approach, and it has stayed with me, and after meditating on it, I wholeheartedly agree with him. In short, it goes a little something like: Why are we so conjured up about temptations? We are tempted more to do good...

    Positive thinking

Well, let's see what Cardinal Newman had to say: Blessed ol' John XXIII: Our lives are decidedly positive, quite simply because of the nature of the supreme virtues which we are given and called to imitate above all else, those most beautiful gifts of God of faith, hope and love. It was not...

Sitting on Christ's left and right hand

From what I know, it is about the conflict of good and evil; life and death. The disciples thought that if they were to occupy the right and left of Christ, it would be something life-giving because they would be with him. Yet, it was not to be about life, and the moment for the persons to take...

Heylo!!! ^_^ To be honest, I think that the most complex thing about Catholicism is its simplicity.

    Richard Dawkins

well, arguments should never be made in anger. They should be made to present information and to enable debate; never to get a reaction out of someone. I admit it is in a sense good to get fired up and passionate, but it should never be used as an attack.
