• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
• We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

"Ghosts" aren't biblical

You said that ghosts are not biblical and I simply stated where in the bible that a ghost is found. Therefore, ghosts are biblical because they are in the bible but that does not mean that we should contact them. Galatians 5:19-21

"Ghosts" aren't biblical

Well, yes it was unlawful. I think if I remember correctly that Saul probably had it outlawed. When God would no longer talk to Saul he sought out the medium to contact Samuel. God allowed for Saul to see and hear the ghost of Samuel.

Ethics -- what should a Christian do in this situation?

This reminded me of Emmet Till. I could not tell a lie and speak against an innocent person. I would just hope that people would realize how dumb the mob's actions were.

Big Time Question

You can not prove the existence of G-d scientifically. This probably belongs in general apolegetics. Good question , though.

A Random Thought

OK, I am thinking about it... Ummm...It conveniently ignored them because they are insignificant. Why does the bible ignore DNA? Why does the bible not address viruses? There are a million whys. When you look up at the sky, is it not beautiful? Is it not enough that it could...

A Random Thought

If you can imagine how long it would take for the human race to explore all these stars, why can't you also imagine that the human race will survive for another, oh, let's say...8 quadrillion years. Why would it be impossible, Lord willing, for the human race to explore the entire universe? To...

brand new flightless bird found on small island

Chicken... I bet many hungry people back in the days thanked an intelligent designer for providing this wonderfully tasting bird that can not fly. Oh! No honey, you don't have to climb up that tree for eggs...Look the lay them on the ground. What would Thanksgiving be like if the turkey...

Abram in Egypt

I meant was it a "normal" practice at the time(if I can even use the word normal in this context...I don't know.) So it was a practice which in turn could be percieved as the norm at the time it occured but was later prohibited through Mosiac Law. I wouldn't condemn Abram either, only question...

Abram in Egypt

I agree that this is what he said. I am interested in why he did this. The only thing that I can come up with is that he felt he had no choice due to the famine. He must have not had enough faith in God at the time to believe that God would protect him. Even though God told him that...

Abram in Egypt

Lucky for Abram that when they tried to do this God always intervened and kept it from happening. Now, when he was in Egypt I feel that he felt he had no choice. He made the choice to lie because there was a severe famine and he probably felt that this was his only option. I can not explain why...
