CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, I am not sure where to start. It has occurred to me that my bio I have had up for many years is no longer relevant, so it is time for something fresh.
Hi, my name is Mel. I am 25 y/o and live in Texas. I guess the most important thing to know about me, is that GOD Is in the center of everything I do, and without him I would be truly lost in life. he has sustained me through so much, including losing everything (job, house, car, etc.....). I was in a homeless shelter in Fort Worth for a good part of six months in 2009. I thank God for allowing me the humbling experience that brought.
I am much stronger for it, and am reminded of his promise in James 1 - Where he tells us that we are to consider it pure joy when we face trials of many kinds, for we know that the testing of our faith develops perseverance, and perseverance must have it's work so that we can be blameless, pure, holy, and lacking nothing. This is such an amazing testimony of God's hand on our life. I am truly b
