  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Survey: Christians and Social Justice

Thank you all for your comments... This survey is now finished. I was limited to 50 responses (though the website said 100) as this was a free trial account. Thank you all.

    Survey: Christians and Social Justice

Did you take the entire survey? At the very end, I had the question: In your own words, please describe what you believe social justice is. And I'm not insinuating that anyone who disagrees with the statements does not love and care for others...I don't know them.

    Survey: Christians and Social Justice

I should add one more thing... My professor is not requiring me to do this...I want to do this because I want to l learn what other people outside of my university think. And I don't think it would be ethical to make up my own data--the class is titled Contemporary Ethical Issues.

    Survey: Christians and Social Justice

:sigh: I apologize if offended anyone by the questions asked. Two things: 1. No one is obligated to take this survey. 2. I'm not George Barna...in other words, I don't create surveys...I don't have a huge research team to think up "unbiased" questions 3. This survey was specifically labelled...

    Survey: Christians and Social Justice

    1. I thought it would be best to split up the demographic questions from the actual response question. 2. It is a contemporary ethical issues class and I am writing about social justice and Christianity as we are required to choose an ethical issues topic.

    Aids in africa

An interesting story about AIDS and condom distribution: One of my profs told us about a development director who wanted to secure several million dollars at a Christian relief organization for the distribution of condoms. However, the relief organization's administration rejected the proposal...

    What's Irans game?

Oh and one more thing...the Jerusalem Post reported Russian intelligence services were suggesting that the US was planning a Good Friday strike since there was a build up in the Persian Gulf and along the Iraq-Iran border. I'm not sure how reliable the Russians are (since they weren't that...

    What's Irans game?

Perhaps they were merely trying to divert attention from their possible weapons program.

    Where would you go?

Probably Canada, perhaps the Netherlands (even though many think it is the epitome of hell because of the sex and marijuana) and lastly, the Ukraine.

    Justification - what happens?

Justification is a topic that I have been dealing a lot with lately. I am beginning to think more and more that justification is a combination of works and faith. Paul believed that works were part of the santficiation process while James and perhaps even Jesus (in the parable of the lambs and...

I am not a poli sci major per say but I am an international studies major with involves quite a bit of poli sci, philosophy, economics, and other multidisciplinary subjects. I chose this major because I believe that God is calling me to work in humanitarian aid overseas. I would highly...
