Is it a sin to smoke marijuana?

Christmas, as we know it is also connected with and is fostered by idolatry. So by your standard, people who celebrate Christmas are also sinning. Thanks for clearing that up.

    Benny Hinn?

Valid point, but his style just seems to contradict the style that Jesus set for us.

Cheers for the good words, brother. :) You are a blessing to me.

You're absolutely right. Personally, I have a very Charismatic background. I believe God moves in powerful and sometimes in a very 'supernatural' way. But yet I can't ignore God, who through the New Testament writers, reminds us to be 'wise as serpents' 'testing everything.' It seems He wants...

Such 'accountability' is cursory and not even worth mentioning. He has rejected the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability which Pat Robertson and Billy Graham have joined among over 1,100 other members. The man is rogue -- setting off alarms with many Christian watchdog...

In reply to Oscarr's thoughtful post: The man in question (Hinn) refuses to hold himself accountable to anyone. This is not a matter of discerning what percentage he is working in the flesh and in the Spirit. Look at all of the cult leaders in the past who have avoided unaccountability --...

“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good...

There is a lot of truth to what you are saying. It's our responsibility to watch out for our brothers and sisters. Especially when there are those among us who are seemingly motivated by power and money. Those aren't the fruits of the spirit.

Yes, his ethics leave much to be desired. Seems attaining more money is one of his higher callings. Sometimes I just shake my head when I think of him...:sorry:

"When doctors and doubters are called upon to prove miracles"

Saintly ‘science’: When doctors and doubters are called upon to prove miracles - Holy Post I've always wondered about what happens when atheists witness a work that is undoubtedly from a higher power.

You're right. That is a bit harsh. He could very well be a brother --- I have a hard time believing it when I see his callous disregard for truth and honesty, however. He is in my prayers -- I wish him a truly humble and close relationship with God at this time.:prayer:

OR.... he isn't a godly man to begin with. He certainly doesn't display the fruits of the spirit, and it is therefore no surprise his marriage is not stable.

Is it a sin to smoke marijuana?

Stop smoking weed, then. It's not hard. Try going to the gym and get active. Cycle, walk outside. Run. Use your body and anytime you think about smoking weed, change that thought to the pleasure of having a healthy body.
