  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Is abortion reasonable?

Does lack of religion make people immoral?

As I said in a previous topic on morality, I believe morality is a social construct. Religion may be a factor or a source to derive ideas of morality from, but morality is too fluid a concept to definitively pinpoint what is moral across humanity. What I think is immoral, and what my culture...

    Does religion make people immoral?

Morality is a very fluid thing. What one in America may consider moral may be different from a tribesman in Papua New Guinea. I believe morality is a construct of nurture and reinforced by culture. Your parents (ideally) teach you what is right and what is wrong. And as you go along through...

    Censorship

I am usually anti-censorship. Although very graphic violence and sexual content I will agree should be monitored. Or at the very least put on late night cable television when the kids aren't watching. Although I will disagree on harsh language and slurs; to an extent. Allowing slurs and harsh...

    Now Playing

Replaying the first Golden Sun for nostalgia's sake. And I never finished it years ago. Ah the memories.
