  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Pregnancy Accommodations

There is such a thing as fostering loyalty. When I was pregnant, I had a few complications, and my boss bent over backwards to accommodate me and my situation, even granting me longer paid leave than was required. Because of that, I've been loyal to him and have gone beyond my job description...

Government has ZERO of it's own $'s It CAN NOT CREAT JOBS.

You're Welcome. Republicans use God all the time, they legislate according to God, they campaign according to God, they live their private lives according to.. well, on that a lot of them fail miserably. Democrats don't claim God dictates and guides their political views and actions like...

Government has ZERO of it's own $'s It CAN NOT CREAT JOBS.

There was supposed to be a line in there about how Republicans claim to be the Party of God. In an October foreign policy speech, Mitt Romney said: "God did not create this country to be a nation of followers. America is not destined to be one of several equally balanced global powers. America...

    Atheism

I didn't say lawyers use corroborate evidence for all witnesses, only those whose testimony needs corroboration the most. They can be used, but without corroboration, it's weak. All witness testimony is evidence, and you brought up transcendental testimony.

The dream is the kind of evidence Stiggywiggy seems to believe is accepted all the time in court trials. He is mistaken.

Yes. It's called corroborative evidence. If they have video, or they can use other kinds of evidence. They can also provide evidence that contradicts testimony, like to show that someone's alibi is false. The point being that trials depend on evidence, not unprovable trancendental testimony...

    Atheism

Examples, please. Someone testifying about what they SAW is different than someone testifying about what they FELT or what they EXPERIENCED trancendentally. In the trial example, there is always evidence to corroborate the witness testimony, a dead body for example. With a religious...

Why Taxing the Rich is Necessary

Obviously, you've made up your mind and the facts don't matter. I hope your business improves someday.

    Atheism

Stop being condescending, of course I know what a witness is. Witnesses testify to what they've seen or what they know about. They don't testify about unprovable, transcendental experiences. I'd consider it as evidence, weighed against any evidence that contradicts it. You're very insulting...

    Sorry, double post.

Why Taxing the Rich is Necessary

Taxes are in the negative for many large corporations and they're not hiring. Lower taxes aren't the answer, obviously. We agree that tax loopholes are bad, that's wonderful. But that's not the point you started with. Corporate profits are higher than ever. Where are the jobs? I'm sorry to...

    Atheism

Quite the contrary. Trials are based on evidence, not unsupportable "transcendental" experience. If they can't prove it in some way, why give the claim any weight at all? Then what difference does it make how many people believe this unknowable thing? Why give their beliefs any weight at...

Why Taxing the Rich is Necessary

Obviously. It isn't just GE, many of the largest American corporations pay no federal income tax, and many get money back from the government too. These are the same large corporations who are laying off American workers and outsourcing jobs overseas. Which is not typical of most American...

    Atheism

Yes, you've said that something which can't be proven should be given more weight if a lot of people believe in it, despite examples like a lot of people believing Elvis is still alive and lots of people believing other belief systems, which don't seem to carry any weight with you at all...

Why Taxing the Rich is Necessary

The source for the graph was the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and they are an unbiased source. You obviously don't run a large corporation. Large corporations like GE currently pay NO taxes, and those same large corporations are laying off American workers and outsourcing jobs to other...
