  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    the Old Days at CF

Ahhh... the good ol' days. Lots of heated conversations back then regarding our faith... But there was such an essence of love...

A practical question about praying for/with the sick

Hello, brother Jim. Wouldn't it be great if someone could lay this terminology down in simple language? For even the novice to understand. We follow the premise that we pray/say what we hear the Father speak or we do/act upon what we see the Father do. More often than not, as we pray...

What keeps sin out of heaven?

Thanks, Sue. This, more than anything, is what I have been contemplating the past week or so. Do we really know the Love of God on earth? I mean, other than some dry, crass theology. If we knew His Love without any restrictions, we would fall hopelessely "head-over-heels" in love with...

What keeps sin out of heaven?

Moriah~ I agree with your post, however, I was not suggesting that God uses fear to keep sin out of heaven... My series of questions are aimed at understanding why, if the love of God keeps us from sin in heaven, then should it not do the same while on earth?

What keeps sin out of heaven?

Are you suggesting that my questions are foolish and I am striving about the law?

What keeps sin out of heaven?

If it's God's Love that keeps sin from us in heaven, then wouldn't it be the same while we are on earth? Why or Why not?

What keeps sin out of heaven?

Just something to ponder... What do you think? The pre-eminence of God's Love? Maybe fear and retribution?

Seeking the True Voice of God

My 13 year old son has given accurate words of knowledge to people in our congregation and to total stangers... the proof is in the pudding, chap. Things that only those people and God would know. Is he "gifted" in some way? I'd say "yes" in the sense that he's filled with God's Spirit and...

    Turkey Bacon

Not very healthy... but thank God for spam! Fried, baked (with potatoes and cheese), grilled, you just can't go wrong with the stuff.

    Turkey Bacon

The only way I can stomach it is if it's over-cooked (a little past crispy) in the microwave. The turkey hot dogs are a little "off" as well... But, hey, beats the heck out of eating hummus on a celery stick any day...

Grace Is Not A License To Sin!

When I heard Sheasby tell the story of the husband, he said the husband had gone back to drinking... Not that there's any difference between the two... ;) Sheasby explained to the wife that husband had quit because of her, not because of his relationship with God. With...

Grace Is Not A License To Sin!

The OT is a foreshadow... the NT is a BETTER COVENANT. Grace operates through God's established Covenant. Better sacrifice... Better promise... New Covenant. The New does away with the Old... now that's in the Bible!!!

Grace Is Not A License To Sin!

That's generally because they misunderstand mercy as much as they do grace... there certainly is a difference.
