  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    image/likeness of God?

After sin, we were not created in the image of God but according to Gen. 5:1-3 "This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they...

Challenge to Sabbath-keepers or Sunday "Lord's Day" proponents!

Question. How can we prove that the week is composed of seven days without the Bible? Every other cycle can be proven with science except the seven day week.

Can you lose salvation if you do not follow God's word?

Christ’s sacrifice was enough and through his blood we may be changed. Matt. 1:21 says that “he shall save his people from their sins.” Not in their sins. He already delivered us from our sins so why continue in them? Yes, we believe but James 2 :19 says, “Thou believest that there is...

Can you lose salvation if you do not follow God's word?

The Bible says that salvation is conditional. If we study the old testament, we find God speaking many “if’s”, “may’s”, and “then’s”. Galatians 1:4 says, “Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:” “Might”...

Col. 3:16, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." I enjoy hymns and scripture songs. I love the melodies of the hymns and scripture songs help me...

How do you get the youth fired up for God

In your youth group, there are probably three types of people: apathetic, hostile, or searching. For the Word of God to enter, there need to be heart work (Prov. 23:26, Deut.5:29, Prov. 4:23). For heart work to be done, the person needs to become a searcher. A need must be felt...

Looking for chap of all prayers in bible

Here are some prayers I have recently studied: 2 Chron. 14:11 1 Kings 8:22-53 Bible study tip: every time someone in the Bible speaks to God, it is a prayer. When we speak to God, it is called prayer. This also applies to the Bible. Example. In Ex. 32:31-32, Moses pleaded to for Israel. This...

    Is forgiveness always possible?

1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” If we choose to sin, then commit a sin, confession is needed, and forgiveness needs to be granted. As long as sin remains in our life, forgiveness is needed. I...

Someone wrote this in a forum!

Amen for searchers! Here is what the Bible has taught me concerning Christ. Jesus dying on the cross was part of the plan of redemption. The sin of Eve which led to Adam’s sin in the garden of Eden did not catch God off guard. He had a plan already. Gen.3:15 is where we find the first promise of...

Anyone have suggestions for books to read.....

I highly recommend reading Lessons on Faith by A.T. Jones and E.J. Waggoner. My friend gave me this book for my birthday and honestly, I have never read a book that defines and elaborates faith so simply. If you have any questions on faith, this book will answer them. It has Bible verses to...

    Bible verse request please! :)

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. Blessings from Above!:)

I'm sorry to hear about you and your brothers' health condition.
