  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Unforgivable Sin

I have religious OCD (psychiatrically diagnosed) and am obsessed with committing the unpardonable sin. It is my worst fear. I suffer from intense blasphemous thoughts against the Holy Spirit which I do not mean but cannot stop and have even said them out loud under OCD compulsion. Have I...

    The Unpardonable Sin

Yes. I am trying to access the Ask a Chaplain link. I managed to put a detailed post up there yesterday but I wonder if it actually got through as I have had no reponse to it. The link I used was http://www.christianforums.com/forums/ask-a-chaplain-792/. I would also like to know how to post...

    The Unpardonable Sin

I would have preferred to post in another section, but it seems I can only read posts not actually post in any other section that is why I went back to introductions. I would really like to know how to actually post in these forums.

    The Unpardonable Sin

I have long been a target for demons, I know that. I will try evening prayers as you suggest - I cannot accept that I have committed the unforgivable sin.

    The Unpardonable Sin

Strong thought(s) about the Holy Ghost being Satanic. I do not like even writing this but this is the sin of which I speak. I do not think it is true, I know it is not but these thoughts and accompanying hard feelings (which are perhaps even worse than the thoughts themselves ) still assail me.

    The Unpardonable Sin

This is an unusual perspective on the problem one I have not come across before. I am certainly not proud of my sins but I can understand where you are coming from re this, and yes, in this context I DO think my sins are worse than a lot of other people by their very nature. What I draw from my...

    The Unpardonable Sin

I'm not sure what you mean. I ask Jesus to forgive me for my sins but in my case where my sins are so bad I get little comfort from praying. But yes, I do pray.

    The Unpardonable Sin

Hullo my name is Repenter and I am posting this further to my earlier post about the Unpardonable Sin. I am still having major difficulties in this area and have of late been plagued with strong urges to turn my life over to Satan which I do not want to do. Things came to a head tonight when I...

    Unpardonable Sin

Thank you for your reply. I have been treated for Scrupulosity (Religious Obsession) OCD so yes I do have what secular people call a "mental illness" - however I as a Christian see it for what it is - sin and demonic attack - and I still find these occurances incredibly traumatic when they...

    Unpardonable Sin

Thank you for replying to me. I am trying to apply this logic to the situation at the moment. The thoughts I have learned to cope with over many years but the verbal aspect is new and extremely worrying. I love God and wish to be led by the Holy Spirit and hate these impulses. I am sure you...

    Unpardonable Sin

I believe I c ommitted the Unpardonable Sin this morning. For many years I have been plagued with satanic thoughts against the Holy Spirit and with selling my soul to the devil which I have vigourously resisted. This morning, however, I was trying to refute him by saying out loud " I believe...
