  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Losing the faith

Hi. I found your post interesting because I too have seen some posts about weakening faith in the short time I've been here. But I wanted to tell you something that someone told me that helped me. It was that we need to stay vigilant in our studies, like we would encourage a new person to do...

Uncleanliness in Leviticus. What did it even mean?

That makes sense. I hadn't thought about how it protects even to this day if we are truly faithful.

Uncleanliness in Leviticus. What did it even mean?

Leviticus has always been a hard read for me too. I always thought that all those unclean laws were for hygienic reasons that God chose to not get into scientific detail about. Like it would preserve their health and distinguish them from everyone else. But maybe I'm wrong on that.

    What would you do?

Newbie here. I just wanted to chime in cause your "grumpy guy" reminded me of my late dad, lol. Older folks get to feeling lost and insecure in an ever changing world, and patiently allowing them to vent usually helps ground them again, albeit briefly. I think you did fine though!
